Disneyland Vacation Part Two

This is a continuation of Disneyland part one 

(See Previous Post Below)

Wednesday July 27th

After waking up kinda late, getting ready and eating breakfast 

and having to turn around to get my wedding rings I left behind in the hotel

(I don't trust people enough to just leave them there so we had to go back)

we didn't get to California Adventures until 11:30

Today was our California Adventures day

We started the day off in A Bugs Life Land 

we rode the all of the cute little rides in there 

and got a churro as a snack 

 Entertaining each other in line

First ride of the day

It was cute little boxes you sat in that went around in a circle

and up and down 

Maddux was a little concerned at first when the ride started going up

But then he really ended up liking it 

In a bugs life we also went on a ride like tea cups but it was ladybugs and a cute little

caterpillar ride that took us through different smells 

Next we headed on over to the Monsters Inc ride

I love this one it is so cute 

Maddux really liked it too

He liked the part with all the doors 

and baby BOO

Next we headed over to a cool building that had a ton 

of activities to do and turtle talk

If you go to California Adventures you have got to go to turtle talk

it is so cute and pretty funny too

It is with the Turtle Crush from Finding Nemo 

and he talks to the kids and stuff

Maddux thought it was really cool 

Ty taking a quiz to see what character he is most like 

We also hung out with Marcus and Maria for a little bit here

Then we went to the new Toy Story Ride

It was seriously so rad

it is in all 3D 

and its a game and a ride in one and you try to shoot the most

it is really fun

Its like Buzz but better

I wish we would have had time to go on it twice 

After Toy Story we got a frozen banana as a treat on the way out

and went back to the hotel to give Maddux a nap 

While he was napping we had Carl's Jr. for lunch 

and went down by the pool to chat while maddux slept in quiet 

then we headed back to the park at 6:30

One we got back to the park he was ,happy energized and ready to go on some rides

we went on the airplanes and were all able to fit in the same one together 

He really liked this one

I think it was his favorite of the day

Look how big he looks all strapped into his own seat belt

I just want to kiss that face one million times

Cute huh?!

We met up with Marcus and Maria and they offered to watch Maddux while

Ty and I went on California Screamin and Soarin over California

Soarin and Screamin are my all time favorite rides in California Adventures 

and I was so excited that it worked out that we could go together

After the ride we met back up with Marcus and Maria and our little man

and watched this amazing show called World of Color

It was incredible

It was like an hour long water, color, laser and character show to music

It totally trumps the one in Disneyland 

Pretty at night!

After World of Color it was getting pretty late 

 on our way out we talked to Marcus mom and dad for a bit,

checked out the tron area they had set up 

and looked through a gift shop on our way out of the park for the night 

We laid Maddux down when we got back to the hotel and 

Ty got me and him slurpees 

that we enjoyed that night while hanging out and talking 

until we finally went to sleep

We only had one sicky diaper the whole day

so Maddux was feeling much better 

which was making us all less stressed

and it was much more easy to have more fun

Thursday July 28th

The last day was back to the Disneyland Park to 

go on everything we weren't able to the first day

We got to the park around 10:30 after breakfast

and Maddux was doing so good

I think he was pretty much all the way better by this point 

even though he didn't act sick at all while we had been here

What a cute boy

On our way to the park we met a really cute LDS family from Arizona

They were like my heroes they had a lot of kids and they were all super young 

and close together

Way nice family

We started the day off with all the classic kiddie Rides

First ride we went to was Peter Pan

Maddux made a little girlfriend in the Peter Pan line she was adorable

and they both kept smiling at each other 

It was her first birthday 

He also got a lot of comments on his cute mohawk in all the lines

Next was Mr. Toads wild ride 

He liked the classic kiddie rides 

but I kinda forgot how dark they were 

oh well he had fun still 

he was just a little nervous about the dark at first

In line for Dumbo

He loved this ride 

because it was outside 

and it was fun to go up and down 

He kept smiling at us the whole time 

Maddux made another cute little friend 

in the Dumbo line

He was little 3 year old and Maddux thought he was sooo cool

it was cute to watch them interact 

Next was the longest line of the day

Nemo

But it was so worth it because Maddux was in awe the whole ride

Since it was such a long, tiring hot line 

we got a frozen lemonade to share 

Which really cheered Maddux up 

because believe me 15 month olds do not like to stand in line for hours 

Finally on Nemo

His sweet little face was up to the glass the whole ride

It was seriously the sweetest thing ever

We really wanted to go to Space Mountain so we did the kid exchange thing

to where one of the parents goes on the ride while the other parent 

stays with the kid and when the other gets off the other one gets to go in the fast pass line

It worked out great and neither of us had to wait too long 

But while Maddux and I were waiting for Ty we were being silly

and I took a bunch of pictures of Maddux's many expressions

Snuggling his money he was so tired

Once Ty got off it was mine turn and since 

I went through the fast pass line I was on and off in no time

I love this ride 

It would have been more fun with Ty by my side but I am glad I got to go on it still

After space mountain it was time to 

go and take maddux back for a nap 

on our way out we got some delish corn dogs for all of us for lunch

I met a really cute lady in line while Ty was getting our food 

she had a little girl and a baby 

I just love meeting nice people

 we all took a nap back at the hotel

I think after 2 1/2 days of walking and the hot sun we were all worn out

We got back to the park at 6:30 and took a few pictures at the entrances 

When we got back we hit the haunted Mansion 

and then Pirates of the Caribbean

I thought Maddux would be scared of Haunted Mansion but he really liked it

I don't think he was old enough to think it was scary yet which was nice

so we could all go on it

Pirates was fun like always and Maddux loved it

except for the drop it kinda freaked him out 

because his little tummy wasn't used to that feeling

After some rides we were getting really hungry

Ty got a Turkey leg

and Maddux and I had some Pizza from a cute little Restaurant

Tired boy this was after a poopy diaper

He hates to be changed on changing tables and it put him in a sad mood for a little bit

To cheer him up we went on the tea cups next

He really liked the combination of the ride, the lights and the music

Watching some fireworks

We then met up with Marcus and Maria 

to do some switching

We watched McCade while they went on Splash Mountain

and we took him on the Winnie the Pooh ride with Maddux 

and then when they got off they watched Maddux and went on the 

Winnie the Pooh ride again with the boys while we went on Splash Mountain 

Then we all went over to ride Buzz one more time and that was the last ride of the night

and of the trip for us

We went to some shops on the way out to get some souvenirs

(mickey ears, Christmas ornament, mickey onesie, mickey car antenna cover Minnie apron, 

mickey for Maddux, shot glass and a first time pin for Maddux)

ok so this is a cute story

we were outside of a store while Ty was in line

and Minnie was close by with a line by her with people getting pictures with her

and stuff and then the guy said ok it is time for Minnie to go to bed so they cut off the line

and she started on her way 

she walked past Maddux 

then stopped came back and patted his head and waved hi to him

it was adorable and his face was so sweet 

He loved her and waved bye bye to her

I so wish I would have gotten a video or picture of it but it all just happened so fast

oh well I will remember it and it was so stinkin cute

We finally got out of the park at about 12:15 and it was kinda sad

leaving knowing that our vacation was over

I am always so sad when vacations have to come to an end

Once we got back to the hotel we laid Maddux down and packed our bags for the 

long next day we had a head of us

Wow were we sore by the last day and finally got to bed at 2am

Friday July 29th

We got up around 8:30 am and got the car all packed up and checked out of the hotel by about

10:00 and head over to McDonalds

Then on the road all fueled up and ready by about 11

Even though breaking up the drive was nice on the way 

we just wanted to get home so we drove straight through on the way home

It was really rainy most of the way

This is what I woke up to 

after a nice car nap

Pretty though right!

Maddux was so good on the car ride home 

We watched a lot of movies, snuggled with his BABY 

and ate lots of snacks

He even took a few naps

I thought this was way cool looking so I had to take a picture

Ahead of us were blue skies and white fluffy clouds and 

right behind us in the side mirrors you could see

the dark skies and stormy clouds

We stopped in Prim to get gas, potty break and drinks

and then stopped again in St. George to eat dinner 

at Olive garden

It was way nice to be able to get out for dinner to 

stretch our legs and eat some real food

It was really nice for Maddux too

It was really good safe and smooth drive

up until Lehi that is we were only 30 minutes from home

it was midnight and we got stuck in horrible construction traffic

By this point we were all ornery and just wanted to be home

Luckily we were able to distract Maddux with some Nemo and talking to him

We got home around 1 am 

and laid Maddux right down

It was so nice to finally be home 

Car rides are not very relaxing once you have a baby

The next day Maddux decided he wanted to help us unpack our bags 

or at least wanted to play in the bags

Ulrich Disneyland Family Vacation 2011 

We had a blast spending time with each other

full of laughs, talking and memories
(both great and stressful with the sickness and all)
