It'S a.......

....Little man. We are so so happy to tell everyone that we are going to have a little boy!
Ty is so excited to be daddy to our little guy.

First we had our eighteenth week appointment on Friday December 11th. The appointment ran fairly smoothly we just had the routinely check up and got to hear the heartbeat again of course and of course I was again relieved to hear our little baby's healthy heart. I just love hearing our babies heart it reminds me how blessed I am to have a healthy baby growing inside of me. After the routine stuff we were talking to the doctor and getting answers to some of our questions when the fact that I had been spotting a lot came up. I know spotting is somewhat normal in pregnancy but I still worry and I still don't like it so I brought it up to him. Since I am RH- he decided that I should get the RhoGAM shot (shot to prevent my body from attacking the baby) immediately he didn't even want us to wait until Monday just because he wanted to make sure the bleeding wasn't coming from the placenta having to do with RH-. When he said he wanted us to do it right away it worried me even more, Ugh I am never going to stop worrying am I? I guess that comes with being a mamma.

So after our visit with Dr. Gatherum we went to get my blood work done and then we had to wait a few hours for the results before they could give the shot so we went home, I called in work telling them I would be a little late and we waited for the phone call to go back in. At aboutt 1:00 we got the call to go back in and I got the shot on my hip and can I tell you it hurt BAD way worse then shots in your arm haha my poor bum was sore for a few hours. So hopefully the shot will do its job and my baby will stay healthy and the spotting will stop.

Then on Monday came the FUN appointment. Monday December 14th at about 9:30 am we got to find out the gender of our little peanut. First of all with the next pregnancy when I go in for my ultrasound I am not drinking the water and hour before my appointment a half hour would have been so much better and would have been fine for the ultrasound readings. OH my heavens I have never had to pee so bad in my life. haha. At about 9:30 they finally called my name to go back and get our ultrasound. The first ten minutes the technician didn't have anything on the screan for me to see she was just doing all her measurements while I laid there with Ty by my side holding my hand anxiously waiting until we could see our baby. Finally when she was done with the most important stuff to the doctors we got to the part we were most excited about seeing our baby and finding out the gender. I can't even explain the most incredible feeling that I felt when I saw my little peanut just a wiggling away up on that screen. AHHHH It was the coolest thing I had ever seen or felt at that moment. After she took a few pictures and videos for us to take she asked if we wanted to know the gender and we said we of course wanted to. So to the bum shot she went haha right when that little bum shot came up on that screen we knew what we were having. A BOY!!!! Oh my goodness he was soooooo active he was wiggling all over the place. The technician kept saying how wiggly we was haha I was so happy to see how active he is in there! He was so wiggly in fact that it was hard for her to get a really good 3D picture. I still think she got some good ones but she was getting frustrated haha as soon as she thought she got a good one he would move hahahaha. I loved the ultrasound! I loved this experience. Ty was so cute the whole time he just had a permanent smile and kept squeezing my hand. I love you sweetie and I love you baby boy!

Her is our little man. Doesn't he have the cute profile you have ever seen. (hahaha I am already a bias mommy, I love it). Look at that cute little nose! AHHHH I can't contain myself it is so cute to see him.

This is one of his active shots that is why it is a little blury. He is punching me haha

There is the boy Shot! This is when we knew.

This is one of the 3D shots. His little hands are up by his face. And you can see his nose mouth and eyes pretty clear. I love how his little foot is over his other one. It's so cute.

What a great day that was. I will never forget Monday and the way that I felt all day long. After the appointment we went down to St. George with my brother and sister in law to celebrate and to do some Christmas shopping. Oh and you bet I bought some baby stuff although I was good and only got one thing for now until after Christmas. We bought a Pink Floyd onesie and it is soooooo stinkin cute I can hardly contain myself. Chris and Em and Parker also bought our baby another onesie that says 'Big show off just little daddy' haha cute! Thanks guys. I can't wait to buy our little man some outfits and get everything ready for him to come into our family. I am so glad I had that time with Ty and some family after such good news. Ah What a great day.

This is my pregnant belly on Monday after the appointment. I am nineteen weeks here. I can't believe how much my belly is growing already. I feel so big and I know I'm not even that big yet haha.

Finding out the gender of our baby and getting to see our little guy moving around was such a blessing and a perfect Christmas present! I even put our 'It's a Boy' sign underneath the Christmas Tree!

ThAnKsGiViNg 2009

Thanksgiving was different this year. Ty and I actually had two Thanksgivings. It was my parents year to have us but since my little brother Adam was graduating from basic training in Kentucky the day before thanksgiving they spent some time with him and we had thanksgiving dinner with my family the Saturday after when they got back.

Our thanksgiving break started when I got off work Wednesday at 6:00. I got home we finished packing we got some Wendy's for dinner and hit the freeway at 6:30 pm. We had such a fun ride up. A lot of times I sleep pretty much the whole way and Ty drives. Poor Ty. Well this time I stayed awake the whole time we jammed out to the Glee soundtrack and just talked. I loved it I love talking on our rides up North. Thank you Ty for such a good ride up, it was good you and me time. We got to my parents house in Syracuse at about 10:30pm pretty good time considering we stopped in Nephi for a potty and treat break. When we got there my parents weren't there they were in Kentucky at Adams graduation. We stayed at my parents and watched the kids while they were gone.

Thanksgiving day my Mom wanted the kids to pretend it wasn't thanksgiving because they were doing it Saturday haha my mom is funny. Well Ty and I decided to go to Ty's grandma and Grandpas with his mom and dad for thanksgiving dinner since my parents were out of town and we didn't want to leave the kids at home so they came with us. I think they had fun and liked the food. Whats not to like about having two thanksgiving dinners. Ty's family made a delicious dinner thank you for letting us come and bring my siblings. After we ate we went downstairs to hang out and I had my thanksgiving nap of course. Ty said his nap was turkey coma and my nap was pregnancy tiredness. I think he was right I get exhausted soooo easily being preggers.

After we woke up from our naps we went over to Tys mom and dads house to hang out for a while. It was soooo much fun Dan and Brooke and the kids were there, Chris and Staci and Cute baby Ayla was there and Mike and Jess and the kids were there. We were all there and I loved it that doesn't happen very often since some of us live in southern Utah and some in northern Utah. We had a blast with everyone there we played games, talked a lot and Ty and I played with the babies and puppies. My siblings were entertained too since other kids were there to play with. I even watch Brooke play rook so maybe someday soon I will join in. Ty wants me to learn how to play rook soooo bad because its the Ulrich thing to do :) I just don't think I am smart enough for that game. After hanging out until about 9:30 pm we decided we should probably get the kids back home and in bed although we were sad to leave. What a fun day. Thanks mom and dad Ulrich for letting us hang out.

The next day on Friday the kids and Ty and I made sure the house was all clean before mom and dad got home. then me, Amanda, Emilee and Ammon went shopping. Yes it was crazy because it was black friday but I really needed to get some Christmas shopping done and it was the only day while we were up here I could do it. So we pushed our way through crowds, got bad parking spots and stood in long lines but I got almost all of Tys presents so it was worth it I think :) When we got home from shopping mom and dad were back home. The kids were so happy to have them back and Ty and I were excited to see them and hear some stories that Adam told them from his experiences at basic. At 4:30 we all went to the movie Planet 51. My family has a tradition from since I was little that we go to a movie on thanksgiving so since my parents were out of town that day we went the day after. It was fun to all go to a movie together. Thank you mom and dad for taking us all! It was a really cute show I liked it a lot and I think Ty did too we both laughed a lot and there was adult humor in it too which is always good! The rest of the night we just all hung out together.

Saturday was our second Thanksgiving and it was such a good day. We started out the day getting all ready and cleaning up, watching the movie Home Alone, then mom and dad started making dinner and I helped too while the kids played and watch TV. Ty played with the kids too. My mom decorated the table all cute with decorations she had around the house and she made cute leaf name place cards that I wrote our names on and tied to the rolled silverware. At about 2:30 It was time to grub It was all so delicious! One of my favorite things on thanksgiving is my moms cranberry salad and Ty's favorite was the noodles and potatoes. It was so much fun to have most of the fam there.
The pretty table my mom decorated.

Ty, Amanda, Parker, Chris, Emily and Zach watching TV while dinner was cooking and being prepared.
This is what Ammon did while he waited for dinner to get done. Gotta love olive fingers.

Ty and I so happy right before the thanksgiving feast.

Later on that evening my mom and sisters and I went shopping. Mom and I wanted to go to Roberts to get some Vinyl for some projects we wanted to do with her cricket that night and Amanda and Emilee wanted to look at clothes at Rue 21 so we went to roberts and my mom got some new cute cartridges (which I was happy about cuz I can use them :) and we got the vinyl we went out to get then we went to Rue and Seagull book and tape. When we got home we played a game before the kids had to go to bed because Zachy really wanted to play a game before Ty and I had to leave. We played his spy game it was really fun! I am glad I had Ty as a partner because he is a smarty pants but I did feel like I was just doing whatever he said instead of being a team so now that I understand how to play we will have to be a better team next time athough we did win so that was cool. After the kiddos went to bed my mom and I did some vinyl projects. She made some Merry Christmas vinyl for me for my front door and then she made some snowflakes vinyl for my windows. Thank you so much mom for doing those for me they turned out so cute. (pictures to come on the next blog about decorating for Christmas). It was fun hanging out with my mom and just talking all night while we made those on her cricket. After mom went to bed Ty and I packed up all our stuff and put it out in the car so it would be ready for when we had to leave in the morning.

The next morning on Sunday we left at about 8:15am after saying our good byes to the fam and drove back to Cedar. Usually we would have stayed and gone to Church with my parents and leave later that night but this time we needed to get back to Cedar to go to our ward at 1:00 because Ty plays the piano for choir and they were performing in sacrament that Sunday and then he also had to work that night after church. We got back to Cedar just in time to hurry and change and fix our hair before church started. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and loved all the time we had with both families! Thank you family!

This is a picture of the fall sign that I made in September to put in my living room for all of fall. I loved how they turned out it was the first time I had ever done mod podge on something like this before. First I painted the letters then mod podged paper on the front and then embellished them like so. I loved how they turned out and I am going to make one for every season. (I already made the winter one picture to come)

Yes that is a picture of a scrabble board. There is a story behind this. A couple weeks ago I had a day off and Ty had the morning off so we decided before he had to go to work we wanted to make the most of the time we had together and we would play a game. Ty picked scrabble. I like this game but I am not very good at it because all my words are three and four letters long is all. haha I don't have a very big vocabulary. But this game of scrabble was soooooo much fun I am so glad we had this time together. We were talking, laughing and being silly the entire game. The reason why I took a picture of the board after is because we were able to use every single tile without cheating, combining letters and still took turns back and forth like you normally do. It was awesome that we used every tile! We were very proud of ourselves at least. The last two letters I had were 2 g's so I thought we were doomed luckily ty found that e and the last word of the game was egg. haha. Love you honey thank you for playing scrabble with me and for always making me laugh I love you! Oh and just for the record Ty killed me this game I can't remember the exact score but he for sure won haha. Good job babe!

NEW MOON

YES I am one of the crazy ladies that had to go to the midnight showing of New Moon and you bet I will be in line at Walmart when it comes out on DVD as well. I know there were even earlier showings up North but since I live in Cedar City midnight was the soonest I could see it. I know what your thinking....Why can't you just go see it one or even two days later it's the same movie? Well because I am a very impatient person so I didn't WANT TO wait! I love the Twilight Saga and just had to see it as soon as I could. I wish I didn't have to wait so long in between each movie. I am already getting so excited for Eclipse. I NEED to read the series again very soon.

My good friend Britney and I went to the movie together. We went and got in line at 10pm because I wasn't about to be in the cold for 11 hours like some people at the front of the line did. We still got good seats waiting until 10 to get in line. at 10:40 they let us in the theater so we were only out in the cold for about 40 minutes thank goodness.
Brit and I going out the door about to drive to the theater. Yes yes I am of course wearing my twilight shirt I wore it all day long. Ty made fun of me for it. My mom also made fun of me for going to the midnight showing but just wait I am going to make her go with me next year and she will love it!

In line. We are soooooo COLD! Good thing I had that fuzz hood and that excitement to keep me warm.

Finally sitting in our seats just waiting!

It's just about to start! We have our popcorn, treats and drinks and we are sooooo ready. I was so tired right before it started but once it started I wasn't thinking about sleep at all.

Ok so I LOVED the movie! I know I know they are never as good as the books but I know that going into it I just love to go for fun and to see how well they do following the book for the most part. My only complaint about the whole movie is the same complaint I have for the book it messes with my heart too much :( haha I love the love triangle but I hate it at the same time. I am team Edward when it comes to Bella and Edward being together but i also love Jacobs' character and for the split second of the book/movie New Moon I love Bella and Jacobs' fling. They have the perfect actor for Jacob because he has those sweet puppy dog eyes that you can't help but fall in love with. not to mention his gorgeous face, his tat, his biceps and that freakin' 8 pack! The part where Jacob is standing in the middle of the road and Edward and Bella get out to talk to him is the saddest part to me. I cried yes I cried because he loves her so much and has the biggest heart so I just felt so bad for him. I also cried when he is begging Bella to stay when they are about to leave for Italy. Poor Jacob but Bella is meant for Edward, don't worry you will find your true love soon :) I loved it I loved everything about it yes I wish it could be a four hour movie and have every detail in it but it was amazing non the less. I also really liked that they had a bigger budget with this one because everything was better because of it: the lighting, the acting, the special affects I loved it I just can't say that enough.

I will be seeing it again with Ty and my little sister because Ty is an amazing husband and I told my sis I would see it with her. Plus hello like I could turn down seeing it again? I think not! I hope I like it just as much the second time or even more would be better. Ok Ok I really need to read them all again I love the feeling I get from this story. I am Crazy oh well!

So now that I have spilled my soul about loving the movie what are your thoughts? Did you like it?

OuR nEwS!

Ty and I are going to have a Baby! I have been baby hungry pretty much since the day we got married 2 years ago but the timing just never felt right until now. We had a good feeling that it was time to start our family. We are both so excited I could shout it from a megaphone to everyone. We have known we are pregers for over two months now but didn't want to announce it to everyone until we had gone to a few visits and gotten through our first trimester just to be safe.

We got the clue we might be pregnant the first of September when I wasn't feeling well and I was just really tired, but we still weren't positive and didn't take a test yet because we had just been up north and my mom had been sick so I thought that maybe I had just gotten sick from her. After two weeks of not feeling any better I finally convinced myself to take the test. I made Ty look first because I was scared it was going to be negative. Ty looked at it and had no reaction which told me it was negative but he told me he was just trying not to give it away. As soon as I saw it was positive I freaked out I was so excited Ty and I hugged each other like a million times and kept saying how excited we were. And of course I started bawling haha im such an emotional person haha. Even after the test said yes and after I went ballistic from excitement I still had to be sure so two more pregnancy tests later I was convinced it was real.

Here is the proof I know you all want to see the pee stick. It is pretty sweet cuz you dont have to guess with the faint lines it just says pregnant or not pregnant. Then I did 2 more a couple days later and they were all positive :)

This is Ty and I the night we found out we were just about to be mommy and daddy to our little peanut. This was Tuesday September 15th. We are soooo HAPPY!

I wanted to call my mom and tell her right away but I some how was able to wait a couple of weeks so we could tell them in person since we were going on vacation with them just a few weeks later. We also wanted to tell Ty's parents in person but we weren't going to see them for a while so we decided to call them and tell them the same week we told my parents. It is so exciting to tell people I love it because it makes it seem more real to me that I am really pregnant.

We went to our first doctors appointment October 16th when we were ten weeks and five days along. We got to meet the doctor for the first time he is so nice and I am very happy we decided on him to deliver our baby. Also this appointment is when they told us how far along we were and our due date which is May 9th 2010! The very most exciting part about this appointment was at the end we got to hear the baby's heartbeat. Oh my heavens can I just tell you that that was the most amazing thing ever to hear that little things heart. I really am pregnant and there really is a baby inside of me. CRAZY! Because we were only 10 weeks it took a little bit of time to find the heartbeat and I was kinda freakin out until the doctor saw my panic face and reassured me that it can take a while to find it at first as soon as he was saying that he found it and I was so relieved and happy.

We just barely went to our second doctors appointment this last friday November 13th. Our appointment went so well. They talked about my blood testing results. They said everything was good but informed us that since I am A- and Ty is O+ they don't know if the babys blood type is going to be negative or positive so we don't know how my body is going to react depending on the blood type so they will give me the medicine at 28 weeks that will prevent my body from attacking and rejecting the baby. The nurse assured us we had nothing to worry about and that it can get all taken care of . I am a worry wart so I still worry a little bit in the back of my mind even though I know it will be ok. At the end of the visit we got to hear our baby's heartbeat again! Yay I was so excited and relieved to hear it again knowing that we have a healthy baby that is growing and doing well like it is supposed to. Gatherum found the heartbeat really fast this time because we are further along and baby is growing. We also got our unltrasound order form so that we can call radiology and get our appointment for our ultrasound in about five weeks to find out what the gender is! :) I can't wait to find out what we are having! What do you think we are having?

Today Sunday November 15th we are 15 weeks along in the pregnancy and we are in our second trimester. Throughout the pregnancy so far I have felt really nauseated and the most tired I have ever been my whole life all the time. I get so exhausted so easily it is so weird how different my body works now. I haven't thrown up at all but I have gotten really sick sometimes. These past few weeks I have started to feel a lot better still just as tired but not as sick. Now I just get sick when I don't keep something in my tummy. For the most part I feel pretty lucky since I haven't thrown up and I'm not too sick. I am still working but have gone down to part time. I feel like I have a little tiny baby belly and am soooo excited. To people who don't know I am pregers I probably just look like I have a gut but it is for sure a baby bump it is hard and pokes out further than it used to. I can't wait for a big belly haha I know I am weird I think they are cute. I also can't wait to feel the baby move around. I have only had a few weird cravings I dont like crab salad but at work when I make it is looks really good so I usually just have to try some weird haha. I have been craving del Taco cheddar quesadillas, Einstein bagels (which is a problem because they don't have them in cedar) and I ordered ribs at chilies the other day which is really weird because I have never ordered ribs EVER. The ribs and the crab salad just show that I am carrying Ty's child haha. I also want spaghetti, cereal and tomato soup with grilled cheese all the time.

15 weeks tiny belly!

It is also fun because my sister in law Emily is pregnant and is only nine days behind me so our babies will be really close and my older sister Traci is pregnant and due in February so her little boy and our baby will be close too! Yay lots of babes in the fam! Ty and I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to be parents soon. We can't wait for May 9th but we are excited to experience the rest of the pregnancy journey. I already feel like I have created a bond with this little baby. Ty is going to be such a good daddy and I can't wait to see him hold our baby for the first time and I can't wait to be a mommy. Neither of us have a feeling of what it is going to be my guess changes everyday so we will just have to wait for 5 more weeks until we are 20 weeks along to find out.

Birthday * Halloween * Nikki's Baby Shower

First of all October 20th was my 23rd Birthday! I know I can't believe it I am 23. I have graduated high school and gone through 4 years of college and graduated that makes me feel so old. I know 23 isn't old but I just feel like I was just barely 18. Where did those years go? My dad used to always say that the older you get the faster time flies by and that is sooooo true I feel like years go by so fast now. I'm not sure I like that life is going so fast haha. Well on a happier note I love birthdays. I love the month of October sooo much because it has my birthday and halloween in it and it just can't get any better than that. I don't just have a birthday I have a birth month and I take advantage of it just ask Ty haha. I had such a fun birthday to start the day off at 12:00 midnight my cute husband was of course the first one to wish me a happy birthday and he got me a cheesecake to enjoy right when my birthday first started. He is so cute he also let me open one of my presents at midnight. Before I opened it he told me that he was excited to give this to me and couldn't wait to see my reaction. That made me nervous a little but when I opened it I just laughed. I LOVE my snuggie I just had to laugh because they are so funny. I used to make fun of these and then I suddenly really wanted one and cute Ty got it for me. They seriously are spectacular I don't know how I lived without it before.
These pictures are me at midnight thats why I look so blah haha. That is me with my cheesecake and blowing my candles out. Also Me opening my snuggie and the best is me showing off one of the many things I can do while wearing my snuggie haha I should have been on the infomercial :)

When I woke up the next morning I woke up to a birthday message from my mom and little brothers. I called my mom back and talked to her for a while. She is seriously the best mom ever! After I got all ready for the day my cute friends Kari and Runge took me out to lunch at pastry pub just us girls. It was so fun just to go and talk and relax they are so sweet and I just wanted to tell them thank you and that I had a blast. In Cedar it was raining and it was awesome i thought it was such a beautiful day. When I got home Ty and I were off to St. George just to shop and chill. Right before we left for st. george he gave me another present to open. It was the New Moon Sound track! Yay honey thank you sooo much and he even let me listen to it on the way to st. george. St george was sunny and also very beautiful. I got so many birthday wishes phone calls and texts from family and friends and it just made me so happy. Ty was so sweet to me all day (he is alwasy sweet to me but he just made me feel extra special on my special day he is so amazing to me).

When we got to St. George we went to a bunch of stores. We first went to Rue 21 and just looked around for a while I love that store. When we were at Rue 21 my little sis Emilee called she is so cute just to tell me happy birthday and talk for a while. Thanks Em! Next we went to Old Navy! I got a really cute green scarf for the pictures we were getting later and we got Ty a new pair of Jeans and I love them they look sooo good on him and the style is sweet. We also went to target, Krumpets (I got cute BOO blocks that were on sale), Ross, and the mall. At the mall we also got a little snack because we were hungry but not quite ready for dinner. We were going to try to go to the pumpkin patch while we were done there but just ran out of time. After the mall we were off to Dan and Brookes house.

Brooke took some pictures of us. We like to get pictures around our anniversary and these were our two year anniversary pictures. I think it is so fun to get couple pictures and see how much we change each year and eventually they will be family pictures when we get some little chitlens running around. We wanted Brooke to take them because she is soooo stinkin talented! Her company is called Snatch and Snap Photography I have her button on my side bar you should check her out. We also like to use these pictures for our christmas cards. I can't wait to see the finished products when they are all done and edited. Thank you Brooke! After we went to a ton of really cool places around St. George to get our pictures done we went back to Dan and Brookes for a while. It was so good to see them and the kiddos and just visit for a while. Ty and I miss having them just down the street so much but it is fun to come visit them in St. George in there new beautiful home. They are always so welcoming and the kids seem to like when we visit :) Connelly and Oaklyn both made me some handmade birthday cards they were so cute thank you kidos.

Throughout the day Ty let me open my other presents I got a really really really cute skirt from downeast that I just love and House season 1 which I was so freakin excited about. Thank you honey for such fun presents. After Dan and Brookes Chris and Em met us down there and we all went to dinner together at the Olive Garden I love that place so of course it is where I went for my bday! It was fun to have Chris and Em and Parker there to celebrate with us. I got my favorite dish cheese ravioli with meat sauce and they gave us the best most delicious cake for my birthday dessert. I highly recommend getting that cake next time you go there for a birthday Yum! We also went to a couple stores with them after. By that time is was time to venture on back home to Cedar. On the way home I got a happy Birthday call from My mother in law and My father in law and also my dad. Thank you!

When we got back to Cedar we went over to Kari and Runge's house and Mike was there too because not only was it my birthday but it was also Tuesday which means biggest loser was on and we always watch it with Kari and Runge. It was cool that one of my favorite shows was on on my bday. And you bet ya I had my snuggie over there while we watched the show haha. It was such a perfect day Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes and love. Thank you Ty for being such an amazing husband and making that day sooo special.

I also got this sweet present from my mom and dad and siblings :) My talented mom make this freakin awesome earring holder. I LOVE IT!!!!!! She makes these so if you want one let me know or go to her website. I have her button on my sidebar it is Organize and decorate everything. Thank you so much mom and dad and thank you mom for making it for me. Also my cute siblings made me some birthday cards and my mom got me something else She got me a really cute hat with a flower on it I love it too! It is so me!

The next event in October was Dan and Brooke's famous Pumpkin carving party on the 30th. Dan and Brooke LOVE pumpkin and they have the most amazing display of atleast 50 pumpkins each year with different carvings on Halloween night. People come from all over to see them and they really are amazing. I haven't really carved many pumpkins but after being in this family and going to these parties the last 3 years I am getting a little better and it is a lot of fun. At the party you just bring your own pumpkin or you do one they have and carve it and then they have yummy treats and you just carve and visit its a lot of fun. This year mom and dad Ulrich came down which was so fun and also Ty's aunt DeAnn and Uncle Scott and Zach came down this year. Also this year they had something special Ty's Uncle Charlie grew these HUGE pumpkins and Dave and Julie brought two of them down for them to carve. They were each like 250-300 lbs. CRAZY HUH they looked sweet though especially all lite up Halloween night. I had to work that night so we didn't get there until about 7 but we were having such a good time chatting we didn't leave until about 2:30 am. Thank you Jess for letting me hold Gracie as much as I wanted :)
Our pumpkins we each carved two. Ty carved a creapy guy with its tongue stiking out and the other one was the joker. I carved Sally from the Nightmare before Christmas (All three years I have gone to this party I always carve someone from the nightmare before christmas) and my other one was a mummy skull creapy guy.
The next day Was Halloween! Yay Can I just say I freakin LOVE this Holiday! It is so fun I am always going to dress up even when I am a mom I will dress up to pass out the candy and have halloween parties just for an excuse to dress up. I can't wait to have little kiddos to dress up. My first project on halloween day was to finish my costume. As I started on that Ty went and got us donuts for breakfat. I don't know why but donuts sounded like the perfect halloween breakfast. Then I went hard to work on my TUTU. This thing took so much longer than I thought it was going to but then again it was a TUTU for an adult haha. It took me a about 2 hours with some breaks in there. I just watched Scoobie Doo the movie and Edward scissor hands while I made it. So here is the story about the TUTU. I really wanted to make myself a TUTU and be a ballerina for halloween this year but then Ty decided on a pirate for his costume and I thought that sounded fun. We have never been matchy costumes for halloween before and I thought it would be fun to this year but I still wanted to wear a tutu so I was a pirate with a Tutu I actually think it surprisingly worked and I got a lot of compliments on it so thats good :). After the tutu was done ty and I went and ran some errands.

After our errands and grabbing taco time for dinner we ran home and got in our costumes and ready just in time for the ward trunk or treat. The Trunk or treat was so fun and I thought we looked cute as married pirates. It was fun to see all the cute kids all dressed up and they all looked awesome. Our calling in the ward is in primary and so it was fun to see them dressed up and all excited. There were so many cute baby costumes and matchy family costumes. It was so busy we bought double the candy we did last year and still seemed to run out. Once we ran out it was dying down and time to go home. We got home and had no candy left and saw some kids coming but they didnt see us so we ran inside and made it look like we weren't home and they knocked and we didnt answer cuz we ran out at the trunk or treat I felt so bad but after they left we found some dove choclates we had just bought and so for the rest of the trick or treaters we didn't have to hide and had some candy for them haha we are such dorks.

We then went down to St. George again for the rest of the night to hang with the fam while mom and dad U, DeAnn and Scott and Mike and Jess were still down there and to see all the pumpkins lite up and displayed on there driveway taking up the whole thing. We just hung out and sat outside handing out candy and talking to all the people who came to look at the pumpkins. When it dyed down a little Dan and Brooke Mom and Dad U and Ty and I had some salads for dinner, played some games of the card game golf and just chatted. It was so fun! I love family time.

Here are our fun Pirate costumes. I LOVE my tutu and Ty looked soooo good and handsome of course we got lots of compliments yay! Love you babe Happy Halloween!

On November 7th my mom and I gave my cute cousin nikki a baby shower for her and her little girl. Ty and I drove up to syracuse on Friday November 6th. That night when we got there we had chinese for dinnerand then my mom and I were off getting things ready for the shower. My mom is a really good party planner and is so creative with decorations. First I ran to some stores to get the food and some last minute things with my dad and Ty. When we got back we got ready on some of the food and decorations. My mom made a delicious salad we call Amys salad and she also made the punch and I made the sauce for chicken salad. Then we started a movie that me, mom, dad, ty , amanda and emilee watched together. As the movie was going my mom made some cool puffy tissue paper flowers and I made some tutus :). After the movie we got the rest of the room decorated with things that we had already made. I made these cute wood letters that spelled out her babies name Mckenna and I mod podged paper over them and put flowers and ribbons on them and we used that as a decoration. My mom also made a cute Mckenna banner and a mobil that when we have a baby I want one just like it. Then we made a clothes line with onsies socks tutus and skirts and hung it across the room the room was sooo cute we were up decorating until about 2 am.
The next day we got up early and finished the last few things before the shower started. I made the chicken salad for the croissants and my mom made a fruit salad then we just cleaned got the cupcakes on the cute plates added some balloons and we were ready. At 12:00 noon the shower began! It was so fun to give nikki this shower because She is the cousin I have always been the closest with so we are also really good friends. I am so excited for her and Greg to have this baby girl. It was fun we ate lunch, watched her open all her sweet gift and chatted. My mom and I gave her all the decorations, onesies, socks, tutus, banners, signs, mobil everything as her present from us and my sisters. Thank you Family for coming and I hope you had fun Nikki. It was fun to hang out with all the girls in the extended family.
Nikole (Nikkis Sister in law), Sharon (Nikkis grandma), Aunt Marie ( Nikkis mom) and Nikki and Mckenna.

The rest of the weekend with the fam was fun. After the shower the boys were still gone (That morning they were at my brothers wrestling meets and then they went shooting) so us girls me mom, emilee, and amanda all went to a boutique and ross. The boutique was so fun they had so many cute decorations and handmade gifts. When we got home the boys were home. We were all exhausted from a long day so we had some dinner and all just wanted to relax so we watched field of dreams. After that we pretty much all went to bed pretty early haha.

Sunday we went to my parents stake conference with them. It was soooo crouded. They were getting a new stake presidency. It was a really good conference I'm glad we went. There was a freak out moment however during the conference. This old man that was sitting behind me had some sort of attack and went unconscious. Oh my gosh it freaked me out I thought he died. There was a doctor there that stablized him until the EMTs got there. He regained consciousness before they left but I think they took him to the hospital right after that. I hope he is doin well. After church we had lunch visited for a while and then we were off to Murray to Ty's parents. When we got there we visited for a while and then had a delicious dinner. Thank you Julie. After dinner Ty and I hurried and ran over to his cousins Adam and Leslie condo to visit and see there new baby Carson. He is so cute he is a month old now and he made me sooo baby hungry. It was fun to see them and there new baby thank you guys for letting us come over and hold him.

When we got back mom and Dad U, and Ty and I drove down to Lehi to visit with Ty's brother and his wife Chris and Staci and there cute daughter Ayla. It was fun to see another baby she is nine months old so she was playing with us and smiling at us the whole time. Again thank you Chris and Staci for letting us visit we love seeing all the family we can when we get to come up north. It was so good to see you Chris and Staci I feel like it had been so long and by the way you two look amazing good job. Have fun on your cruise! We then drove back to Murray for the night. We played mexican train with Mom and Dad U. Dad won then Ty then me and then mom. Julie was not having fun losing but Dave sure was having fun winning. After they went to Bed ty and I watched some TV and were off to bed. The next morning we woke up early stopped at Einstein Bagles for breakfast got some slurpies and hit the road back down to Cedar.

Thank you Both Sides of the Family for such an amazing Weekend I never wanted it to end. Love you all and can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving!

San Diego Trip Sept.30 -Oct.5 2009

In September my dad called me out of the blue one morning and told us they were going to San Diego and said they got an amazing deal and invited us to come. WE were all of that idea! San Diego with the fam? Heck yeah! It was over the kids UEA vacation from school so we left on Wednesday and got back on Monday. Wednesday we started our drive late so we drove to Primm Nevada stayed at Wiskey Petes and then got up the next day to drive the rest of the way. On our way to our hotel the first day right before San Diego we stopped at the Wild Animal Park/Zoo. It was HOT but so much fun. We got to see a lot of SWEET animals and went on a cool tour train to see all the wild animals roaming out in the open it was soooo cool. Ty's favorite animals are gorillas and they were awesome to see at the zoo. I also really loved seeing the gorillas and the lions. Except the lion looked like it wanted to eat Amanda it wouldn't keep its eyes off of her haha. They also had a cool club house thing you climb up to see a good view of the park and there was a petting zoo area where we got to pet and feed some cute deer. The last thing we did before left was the carousel and yes ty and I road it too :) We are just big kids.
These are all at the Wild Animal Zoo. Ammon and I loved the deer. Ty likes to be silly of corse I think he is a little to big to come out of that egg. We all loved the tour train to see all the animals.

These are a lot of the animals we saw while we were there along with much more. I really liked the turtles one day I want one as a pet :) We think ty likes the gorillas because he has really broad shoulders like them. We found out on the tour that the great white rhinos are distinct and there are only five left in the whole world they have two of them in this zoo. Ty thought that was sad.

After the zoo we were off to the hotel once we all got settled in we went out to dinner at dennys and then went to the hot tub for a little bit and then crashed back at the hotel because we were all exhausted from walking at the zoo. Friday was SEA WORLD DAY! We were soooo excited to go to sea world. Ty had never been before and I was little since I had been we had so much fun.

The first thing we did was go on the ride that takes you up high and spins so that you can see the view of the whole park and a lot of San Diego. It was a really pretty view.

Next we were off the see the sea otters, sting rays and dolphins. We got to pet the sting rays it was really cool they feel all spongy. I was hesitant to touch them at first but it was way cool when I did. The kids liked touching them they thought it was cool. Ty really liked it too. I liked the babies.

Next we saw the coolest show ever the Shamu show with all the killer whales. I can't even explain how cool this show was I got chills through the whole thing. The tricks with the trainers were awesome too. The relationship that the trainers and the whales had was so amazing to me they were like their pets it was so cute. Its amazing that people can train killer whales.

After the show we went to lunch and saw some more of the park.

Then we were off to the kids play area it was cute and it had a huge jungle jim that even my dad came and played in, a few rides and the cool circus mirrors that make you look really tall and skinny or realy short and stout haha it was so fun in there. Also the park was decorated in all fall and halloween decor it was cute.

Next we went to the sea lion show which was supposed to be a comedy show called Sea Lions Live SLL and it was soooo funny those sea lions are really obedient. Last we went to more of the aquariums and saw some sharks too it was an awesome day at sea world.

So when I was little I went to sea world with my fam and they got me a dolphin and for some reason I named it puppy. I LOVED that thing and I had it for a long time but I don't know what happened to it. Well since I didn't have it anymore and sea world memories meant puppy I just had to replace it so I got almost the same dolphin and its name it puppy. :) That night we got panda and chilled at the hotel.

Saturday was LEGOLAND day My little brother Ammon could not go to San Diego without going to this place he loves Legos and just had to go. Zach loves legos too so he was also in heaven. It was a really cute place and I think we all had fun.
They had big lego characters everywhere it was awesome we just had to get pictures of all of them. They even had a lego pumpkin patch for halloween. CUTE

Us with more of the characters. Sponge Bob And the pizza guy were my favorite hahaha

And these are some of the animals made from legos.

We went on lots of cool rides....

And some more rides :)

Since it was October Legoland was decorated for halloween and in the evening they invited all the kids to dress up and they had trick or treating, costume contests and entertainment. There were a lot of workers that were dressed up too. Ammon Zach and Emmy had lots of fun dressing up and trick or treating. Zach also went up on stage and danced in his alien costume to Monster Mash he was very entertaining he was cracking me and my mom up. They looked so cute in their costumes. After the haloween festivities we got dessert ice cream. We then went to this cool area called USA mini land this was sooo COOL! It was all the big cities Vegas, San Fran, Orleans, Washington DC, New York and Southern California and they were mini cities built from legos it was incredible. Im sad I didn't get any pictures because our camera battery died. But it was so cool Vegas and New York were my favorite. Washington DCs buildings were awesome too. They also had little lego trick or treaters in all the cities. This area was for cure Ty's favorite. But we all loved it. We went on one last ride and the gift shop for legos for the boys before they closed we were sad to go. We stopped and go in and out burgers and off to the hotel we went again. Just relaxed and the boys of course played with they new legos.

Sunday was the drive back to Utah but before that we had to go to the BEACH. You can't go to San Diego without visiting the beach first. We all had so much fun running from the waves, chasing flip flops in the ocean, writting in the sand and just laughing together. We all had to atleast get our toesies in, but my dad got further in and then the waves splashed him when he had to chase ammons flip flop before the waves took it away so we got a little more wet haha.

Mom, Dad, Me, Ty, Amanda, Emilee, Zach and Ammon all having a blast at the beach.

More fun at the beach. Oh and don't forget the handstand on the beach pictures its a tradition :)

After the beach we went over to the beach shops and bought some cool San Diego souveniers and road some rides on the cool pier mini amusement park. Ty, me Emmy and Zach road the roller coaster and Ammon road the carousel. We then were back on the road to Utah....only we didn't get quite there we got to Primm and my dad decided it would be fun to stay there again and prolong the vacation one more night. We were all up for that :) We dropped our stuff off at Wiskey Petes and we were off to Vegas for some family dinner at chilies. Chilies is my dad's favorite place to eat out and luckily Ty works there so we get a sweet discount. It was so fun to be on vacation and be with the family for one more night. We then drove back to the hotel and just talked and hung out together.

Monday morning we were up ready and drove the rest of the way to Cedar City. When we got there my mom and I went to some antique shops and lunch and the boys and kids hung out at home and had lunch. It was fun just hanging out just me and my mom for a couple hours. My mom loves this antique shop on main street in Cedar and always gets cool stuff there. We also heard of another one so we decided to check it out. Well it was an atique shop/animal adoption and feeding place. It was the oddest place we had ever been they had huge dogs and cats just roaming around the antiques we just laughed the whole time because it was sooo weird. We still got some cool stuff though so I guess it was worth it. Plus it was time with my mom I just love those times :) Around 4:00 the fam left to get back home up North and then a little later Ty was off to work and I was left at home alone after spending all that time with the fam it was sooo lonely :( Luckily I had some unpacking to do and I called my sis traci and talked to her for like two hours. I just never like seeing family go after visiting. I can't wait until next year when we live closer to our families :)

Thank you mom and dad for inviting us and thank you mom and dad, Amanda, Emilee, Zach Ammon and Ty for such a fun vacation. Ty and I love spending time with you all. Can't wait for the next one when Adam gets home!

Our 2nd Anniversary!

So our anniversary was on August 31st I am just behind on posting. I can't believe it has already been 2 years. On one hand those two years have gone by so so fast but on the other hand I can't even remember my life without ty. So Ty was super cute and really took the time to plan something special for our anniversary. awwww. I asked him like a month before what we should do and he said he already had something planned I was so impressed and my heart seriously melted. Isn't the husband supposed to forget the anniversary? Well Ty didn't but he is the cutest boy after all. :)

The day before our anniversary was a Sunday so after church we made our way up north and stayed at his parents house. I was getting so excited for the next day and what he had planned. That next morning we made our way to Syracuse and he dropped me off at my moms so I could visit with her while he took care of some last minute things for our date. After visiting with my mom for a while we heard a knock at the door. I saw it was ty through the window on the top of the door and I thought what a weirdo why is he knocking on my parents door silly boy. But when I opened the door I asked what are you doing silly and he pulled a dozen roses out from behind his back and said I am picking you up for our date.....awwww cute huh?! When we were first dating and engaged I was living with my parents in Syracuse and he was living with his parents 40 minutes away in Murray so he would come to my parents a lot to go on dates or just hang out so it was like a flashback. It was a memory that I love.

After picking me up for our date we got some subway and had a picnic at the park in Layton that we had our engagement pictures taken :) Ty had a meaning for everything we did. We went to subway because it is one of our favorite places to eat and the only thing I can eat when I am sick. And then the picnic at the park was because of our pictures. We exchanged one of our gifts for each other after we ate. I gave Ty a aero T-shirt and a aero polo and he gave me a aero polo and an aero jacket sweater thing. Isn't that funny we got each other clothes from aero and didn't even know it?! After eatting and presents we went on a walk at fed the duckies. After the park we ran to target to get some cameras because the battery was dead on our good one.

When we got back into the car I got blindfolded to the long drive that ended up being from Layton to downtown Salt Lake. It was interesting being blindfolded that long Ty and I had a good talk and then I fell asleep for like ten minutes haha I couldn't handle being blind the darkness makes me tired. I got woken up and the blindfold came off when we parked but I still had to keep my eyes closed. Ty guided me with my eyes closed about a block to our destination. When I finally got to open my eyes we were on the steps of the Salt Lake Temple-the temple that we were married in in front of all our loved ones for eternity 2 years ago :) As soon as I opened my eyes and realized where we were I gave Ty a HUGE hug and started bawling. Im such a softy. we walked the temple grounds for a while, talked to the cute old missionary couple, went to the visitors center, talked to a cute sister missionary from Australia and got a quick snack at the Nauvoo cafe yum yum.

Next Ty took me to my next surprise that I spoiled earlier in the day but I was still so excited about it. We went and checked in at the Italian Gondola room at the anniversary inn. The reason why this is so special to us is because this is the exact same room that we stayed in on our wedding night. How sweet is that. After checking in and getting all our stuff in the room we exchanged our other present to each other. I was sooo excited to give ty this present he has wanted it for a while now but he had no idea I got them for him. I got ty golf shoes yay and he got me a cute black hat, the Hannah Montana movie (haha yes I love it), the new Colbie Caillat CD, a freakin cute necklace and a just as cute pair of earrings ( I am obsessed with earrings). After presents we got ready for dinner and got a little dressed up for it. Ty looked to handsome and I tried to look nice for him.

My next surprise was dinner. He took me Downtown to Pf Changs. And the reason why this restaurant is special to us is because we went there for dinner in Vegas for our first anniversary. He really thought of everything. We love to eat here it is probably one of our top places to eat. After dinner we stopped at a gas station and got some treats and a drink each. When we got back to the room he was so sweet to watch Hannah Montana with me and eat treats. Who can say their husbands watched Hannah Montana with them on their anniversary haha thank you honey.

The next morning after the delicious breakfast in bed and after getting ready for the day Ty had yet another surprise for me he said this one was an original not a memory. He took me to the zoo. The funny thing about this is he already had this planned but a couple days before I was telling him how I wanted to go to the zoo and that we had never been together and the next time we are up north after this trip we should go haha. He said it was so hard not saying anything while I was going on and on about the zoo. It was so much fun I love the zoo and there were sooooo many new babies. I love baby animals I just wanted to get in the cage and play with them. I dont know what it was but those baby animals were really getting to me like emotionally I know weird but I kinda had a spiritual experience at the zoo and the weirdest and least expected place ever. I just had a over coming feeling of how grateful I was for the miracle of life of all the beautiful animals and other living things we have in this world with us. Werid I know but it actually was really cool and meant so much to me. I can't wait to go back and check up on the baby elephant, the baby triplet tigers, the baby giraffe and the baby twin monkeys. I love you babies :)

So the original plan was to go home that day after the zoo but neither of us wanted to. We both worked the next day but Ty didn't work until that night and my boss gave me permission to come in a little later than I was scheduled so we decided to stay the night in Murray with Tys parents and hang out with them the rest of the night. We got to go to dinner with them at Italian Village it was really fun and special to go to dinner just us and the parents :) Thanks. When we got back I had an itch to go to the bead store so of course my cute mother in law was a trooper and came with me. I spend forever in there sorry Julie. When we got back I just hung out with Ty and my awesome father in law while Julie went to an appointment. When she got back of course we HAD to play a game. It wouldn't be a regular stay at the Ulrichs if we didn't play a game before bed. Ahhhh I love games with them. Then next day we were up early and got on the road getting to Cedar just in time for me to get to work.

Ty I just want to tell you how truly grateful I am for that weekend. We needed it so bad and I had a blast you are such a sweety and at the same time hilarious. I just love that about you that you can be so sweet to me and also make me laugh all the time. I am grateful for a husband that works so hard for me to provide for me. I am grateful for his smile, for his kisses and most of all for loving me back as much I love him. I am so grateful for these last two years with you and I can't wait for all the many more anniversaries and years to come. I love you this much baby and I will love you that much forever. We just have one more tradition to do to make our anniversary complete and that is anniversary pictures. Hopefully we will get those done soon and then I will post them. Happy Anniversary.

UlRiCh CrUiSe SuMmEr 2009

I warn you this is going to be a really long post you dont have to read it all I just wanted to put it all down since I am using this as my journal...but atleast look at the pictures they are really fun.
I am FINALLY updating our blog...Our CrUiSe! Sorry about the two month delay we have been super busy. But don't you worry we are back and ready to post. The highlight of our summer was our cruise that we have been saving for since last year for a graduation present to ourselves. We aren't completely done with our education but we are done with a big step so of course we are going to CeLeBrAtE! June 27th at about four o'clock we started our journey to Primm, Nevada. We stayed the night there at Buffalo Bills and then drove the rest of the way the next day. When we got to the hotel they told us they could upgrade us to a bigger room with no charge so of course we took it. It was only for one night but why not. We got a king size bed and a huge room. After we were all checked in we decided we would check out the cAsInO. We ended up playing in the arcade and eating at some yummy sandwich place for dinner.
Ty and I playing the Harley Davidson racing game at the Arcade. We had so much fun in that place the poor children never got to play anything we were throwing elbows to get the good games. Then of course we have our excited jumping on the bed pictures :) I got this picture of the roller coaster and palm tree outside of the hotel.... and it turned out really PrEtTy with the sun going down don't you think? P.S. no we didn't go on the huge roller coaster that buffalo bills is famous for I am a CHICKEN...one day i will...one day.

Sunday June 28th
The next day we were off to Long Beach California to get on the ShIp. When we first got on we had to wait until our room was ready and had to wait for the luggage to be checked in. While we waited we were able to wonder around the ship and get familiar to where everything was. I imagined a cruise ship was awesome but oh my gosh it was so huge and AWESOME! There was everything you could think of it was like a little town and there were so many nice people and cute families. Also our room was a steal :) we got a bAlCoNy room for the same price as a interior room because of a deal Utah had going on it was so fun to be able to go out on the balcony and just watch the ocean waves whenever we wanted. When we first got all settled in we had to do a safety drill. everyone on the ship had to put on the life vests and go out on the big balcony it was kinda funny to see everyone in the huge oRaNgE vests. After the drill we got our room all ready and then we were off to the welcoming parade and show. The parade was sooo cool i know a parade in the middle of the ocean how sweet is that. The show was also really fun it was a comedian juggler and another stand up comedian. The jUgGlEr was the best he was hilarious. :) After the shows we were off to the dinning room for dinner. Oh my heavens the food is soooo good on cruise ships. We had a very interesting experience at dinner the first night. Our table consisted of two lasdies from Russia and a couple that the lady was drunk off her rocker and really mean. The Russian ladies were so NiCe but we just couldn't communicate so that was kinda awkward and then the drunk lady was so mean and we had to repeat ourselves a million times cuz she kept asking us the same question. She was also really mean to our waiters so we were extra nice to them to make up for it. Good thing Ty and I had each other at that table cuz oh my heavens. haha. The rest of the night was filled with wondering around the ship, talking and taking pictures.
Don't you just love those orange vests on us. Those are some pictures of the ship, our room, our balcony and the view off of our balcony. What a fun first day and it didn't even start until one.

Monday June 29th
The next day was a day at sea (we were on the ship the whole day in the middle of the ocean). It was just a fun relaxing day. We started the day off eating breakfast in our room and then got in our swimming suits to soak up some sun and lay out and read. We weren't out there very long when we decided that we were going to go see what the digital photo sCaVeNgEr hunt was all about. We got there at the tail end of the instructions and they asked if we wanted to play and we said sure so they gave us a list and told us to find all these things on the list throughout the ship and take pictures of them and after we're done to just come back to the spot we started. So off Ty and i went just having a fun time RuNnInG throughout the ship we barley knew at this point. Oh my gosh though it really was so much fun and we did so good. We expected to come in like last because it was just us two on a team with one camera and there were other teams that were huge that could split up with two cameras. But low and behold we ran into the meeting place after getting all our pictures and we were SeCoNd place hahaha. We got a medal that's right a silver royal Caribbean medal haha oh my gosh so cheesy i love it! I was proud of that second place medal and wore it around some of the day i think Ty was embarrassed and so was i a little. After the hunt we were off to the ice show. They had a small ice rink on the ship isn't that awesome. We thought the show would be a little cheesy but thought we would see what it was about anyway. Its free entertainment right? Well it kinda started out cheesy but it got really good and ty and I both really liked it there was a guy doing back fLiPs and all the girls were really good. Ty's favorite was the ice skating quick changers. Quick changer are CRAZY! We also heard the most ridiculous and cheesy song during the show by Meatloaf I would do anything for love! it ended up being our theme song of the cruise haha we couldn't ever get it out of our heads and would just randomly sing it to each other and then just start cracking up. After the ice show we were off to the room to get ready for the first FoRmAl night. Formal nights are so fun you get to get all dolled up awww I love it. After we got all ready we went to the song and dance show and then we were off to the formal dinner. While we were in line to take pictures we met this really cute couple Trey and Jamie from Texas that were on their honeymoon. They were way fun to get to know and talk to. We would run into them a few times throughout the week and chat. Dinner was interesting again but not as bad as the first night we were at the same table but the drunk couple wasn't there instead the Russian ladies were there again, an older couple that were really nice (he was LDS) and another older couple that was nice but very werid haha. The couple next to us was a really old rich guy and his wife that had a lot of plastic surgery she was so so nice but couldn't show any emotion in her face and she was hard to understand. After dinner we went to one more late night show it was the same comedian from last night he did pretty good we laughed a lot. After the shows we went back to our room and relaxed in the HoT tUb.

Those are our silver medals and the random guy in the picture with us was the guy incharge of the game he was really nice.
The top picture is the one of the ice show and that is the scene with the Meatloaf song but really good skating.
The bottom picture is us in our first formal get up.
And last but not least those are our first day towel animals :)

Tuesday June 30th
Tuesday was an easy day to wake up it was our first port day...Cabo San Lucus! Oh my gosh i was so excited when we got up. We hurried and got ready went up to eat a yummy breakfast and packed our back packs and off the ship we went. It was so exciting getting off the ship and seeing Mexico. If you can't tell it was my first time being out of the country. We got off Ty did some bardering in Spanish and our first destination was LoVeRs BeAcH. Cabo is famous for this beach and let me tell you it is beautiful. We paid for a guy to take us on a boat tour around the beach to see the arches and stuff and then to drop us off at the beach and pick us back up two hours later. Our boat tour guide was a cute eighteen year old boy him and Ty talked a lot in spanish he seemed super nice. The tour as beautiful and it was fun to get dropped off at the beach. The sand was white and i just cant say it enough beautiful. When we first got on the beach and set up our stuff a couple came up to us and was like "hey can you watch our stuff while we go oin the water and then we will watch yours and just take turs so our stuff isnt just sitting here on its own" we were like of course sounds like a good plan. Well we got talking and they were on their honeymoon around our age and from UTAH! oh and they are LDS! we were so excited to meet some people that were LDS and our age. So we took turns getting in the water and watching stuff. The water was freezing but it was fun. Ty and I also walked around the beach discovering cool caves and stuff we also went to the other side that opened up to the Pacific Ocean and watched some skim boarders. We got talking to Dan and Kristen and we both wanted to go Para sailing..what a coincidence! Our water taxis followed each other and we went Para sailing with them. Ty and I were able to do it together at the same time it was so fun oh my gosh i want to do it again so bad. Thank you Ty for doing that with me :). After pArA sAiLiNg we went shopping for a bit and then back to the ship for the night. We ended up going to the show with our new friends that night..it was a singing impressionist and then we were able to work something out called mytime dinning and we sat with Dan and Kristen at dinner. Oh my gosh dinner was sooo much better with them then it was the past two nights. Along with Dan and Kristen we were sat with this really cool family that ended up being like our adopted families the rest of the week it was Michelle and Steven and their Son that was my age Evan and then Steve's dad Papa Don. Oh and Papa Don shoed us a really cool trick with his fork knife launching the spoon into his glass of water it was pretty sweet. Dan and Ty kept trying it they weren't very good at it yet...

These are some Lovers Beach pictures...we swam, laid out, walked around, saw sea lions, and pirate ships and locals skim boarding and made new friends

we LOVE para sailing!

Wednesday July 1st
Wednesday was another port day yay!!! We decided MaZaTlAn would be our beach and shopping day. When we got off we went to some shops but only looked around because we didn't want a lot of stuff at the beach then we were off to this beach and resort it was a beautiful beach except all the people trying to sell us stuff they were everywhere. WE just stayed in the water as much as we could so they couldn't bother us. When we were on the bEaCh Ty would just keep telling them in Spanish we weren't interested and when ever they looked at me I would just keep saying no. I felt bad because this was how a lot of people made their money and they would have their kids there so i would want to say yes to help them but i really didn't want what they were selling. So when we first got to the beach Ty was bartering with people to get a good deal on renting a jet ski. We ended up getting a really good deal for 45 minutes. The people that were renting it out to us were actually from Utah. Well they were from MeXiCo but moved to Utah and were now in Mexico again (something about not liking the cops on them all the time...yikes). Despite their problems with the law they were really nice they were brothers and kept saying they love LDS people cuz they are so friendly. Anyway Jet skiing in the ocean was a blast I have been jet skiing many times but never in a wavy beautiful ocean i loved it! After Jet skiing we set up camp the the beach and went swimming. Oh my Gosh the water was PERFECT! It was as warm as bath water I loved it and never wanted to get out. We also rented some boogie boards that was super fun I had never done that before. Thank you Ty for teaching me how to boogie board and for telling me when to go for the good waves :) After a long day of of swimming beach fun and fried skin we were starving so we went to a cute Mexican authentic place call Margaritas. Ty got this crab salad thing and I got beef tacos with rice and beans. It was so so good and there were even people singing and playing guitars. Then we went back to the ShOpS that we liked and got tons of fun stuff and little presents for our familes. And of course we got way fun stuff for us. We got a cool mexican blanket, i got a sun dress, we got a cool mask, some Tshirts, and much much more. After shopping we headed back to the ship in a really cool taxi. I don't know how to explain it but it was like a little buggie. On our way into the port we saw some more shops and there was this awesome artist. We went to go see what he was all about and he was Awesome he painted full beautiful scenic paintings with just sPrAy PaInTiNgS. Coolest thing I have ever seen. I loved it so much we bought two a small one and a big one of a sunset in Mazatlan. Then we were right back on the ship. It was a full yet relaxing day. After getting ready for the night we met up with Dan and Kristin and went to the ice show with them again. Then to dinner with them then went to the song and dance show and then later that night we went to a hilarious show It was the Love and Marriage Newlywed game show. It was so so funny The newly wed couple was from California but But go to BYU and are LDS they had been married for four days haha. We met them later on they are so sweet. The middle couple were interesting and the older couple was from Utah. It was awesome. The Last that night at midnight they had a buffet at midnight up by the pool it was fun and super yummy.

Swimming in that beautiful warm water was a Blast!

Thursday July 2nd
Our very last port day and maybe our favorite was Puerto Vallarta. The whole day was taken by our adventure of the cruise....zIp LiNeS Baby! We got off and Ty did what he did best he spoke Spanish and worked his magic and got an awesome price for a Canopy Tour! We road up the beautiful mountain on a Bus we saw a part of Mexico that was hard to see but what I wanted to see the most. We got out of the tourist city and saw some of rEaL Mexico. It was kinda hard to see and I wanted to cry when I saw how some people live but it was fun to wave to the cute little kids and seeing people ride down the mountain on donkeys. I know I'm weird but I love new cultures and love meeting new people. It did make me so grateful for what I have and the opportunities in America. After a long beautiful ride we got to the top of the mOuNtAiN. We got all our gear on and listened to some instructions and we were off. We did twelve different Zip Lines they were all a little different some were short, some were long, some were fast, but they all had a gorgeous view that I will never forget. We were allowed to take pictures (lame) but luckily I will always remember that view. I was so nervous on the first one and screamed really loud in fact one of the guys said I win in the sCrEaMiNg category of the group haha but I got a lot braver and it was amazing. There was one of the zip lines that I got to go backwards and upside down with one of the tour guides. WOW that is all I have to say about that experience. When we got to the bottom we got to ride donkeys back up...the only problem with this is that for some reason they didn't bring enough down so ty was a gentleman and walked by my side he is so sweet but I felt bad for him. We got back and ate at a little restaurant they had right there we just got our favorite Mexican drink MaNzAnItA sOl and some beans and cheesy chips yummy. After our ride back down the mountain we were back on the ship. Then we were off to dinner with Dan and Kristen and our adopted family and of course the food was incredible like always. The show this night was another entertaining super funny one they called it the Quest Game show. The game show was like this: they split the room up in teams and we had a girl captain and a boy captain for each team. Then they would give us something to find that we had to give to our captain to bring up to the gAmE sHoW host and if we got it up there fast we got points. some examples of stuff they had a bring up were: mans pants unworn, a belt, a memory card, a bra not worn, a thong (he meant flip flops but of course he said thong so the crazies would come out), a man wearing heals and so much more but you get the idea it was scary and very funny.

gotta love the handstands on the beach...that is another tradition from our honeymoon

The bottom left pictures are of the Quest Game show... the rest are just pretty views of Puerto Vallarta

Friday July 3rd
Friday was another day at the sea all day on the ship and we entertained ourselves don't you worry :) Friday was full of sleeping in, food, laying out and frying my legs, mini golfing, Johnny Rockets food, fake TaTtOoS and another fun Formal Night Dinner. First of all Mini GoLfInG was a blast I love to say I golfed on a ship. Ty is such a fun husband and good husband for doing all the crazy fun things I wanted to do. The formal night was so so so much fUn and dinner was with our awesome crew of our adopted family and Dan and Kristin. I have a story about Dinners. Well I told ty that this cruise was going to be full of firsts and me trying things. Some of my firsts were parasailing, ziplining, rocking climbing on a rock wall, ice skating in the middle of the oCeAn, boogie boarding and trying new foods. Ty was taking advantage of my firsts so the deal was that I would try the different things that Ty would order at dinner. I was adventureous! The best part of the day though was when Ty sang KaRaOkE! I was so proud of him he did soooo good and by far got the most cheers everyone loved him. He sang Two Pina Colatas! You did the best babe!

There is us mini golfing, eatting Johnny Rockets for lunch and having a blast at Formal Night.
Can you see my lobster red legs in the formal pic hahaha

Saturday July 4th Last day :(
I kinda missed the typical fourth of jUlY festivities but I can complain I had an amazing fourth in the middle of the ocean with my cute hubby! We totally took advantage of all the things to do on the ship this day since it was the last day. We hung out with dan and Kristin pretty much the whole day. First we went ice skating it was so so so so much fun! After about an hour or so of that we decided to climb the rock wall. This was a fun aDvEnTuRe because ty had never rock climbed before. Good job Ty I am proud of you. He is always so willing to try new things. :) I hadn't been rock climbing in a really long time and I have never rock climbed on a wall only a mountain and they are diferent. Well since it had been so long since I had climbed I forgot to ise my legs more so my arms were getting so SoRe I didn't feel like I could finish so I told the guy helping me that I wanted to come down and he said no hahaha yeah he said no he said you can do it and you are strong so I kept going cuz he wasn't letting me down and even though I didn't think I could I got to the top of a pretty difficult path. Thank you Rock Climbing worker for pushing me to do better! After rock climbing we changed and went to Johnny Rockets again. This time when the workers started dAnCiNg Kristin and I joined in it was silly our boys enjoyed watching us though. After getting super full at the diner we decided to take advantage of the ArCaDe. We were the only adults in there haha. It was so much fun though I think the favorite game of all of us was the surfing one. Its the closest I have ever come to surfing....one day I will do the real thing (huge goal of mine) Ty has already been sUrFiNg lucky ducky. After all of our fun it was time to get ready for our last dinner. We didn't get sat with our adopted family so we were a little sad about that but we were the table right next to them and we sat with Dan and Kristin so it was all good and we still got pictures with all of them that night. I wish we would have exchanged email with that fam to keep in touch :( After dinner we went to the ending show which was the juggler again and another comedian and then later on that night they had the end of the week parade! I got my fourth of July PaRaDe :) After everything started dying down that night I started getting really sad that it was already over. So I kept telling Ty that I didn't want to go to bed cuz then it would be over sooner so before we went to bed we took one more walk around the whole ship and took some pictures and got one more late night snack of pizza. Then we were off the bed :(

These pictures are of us ice skating, rock climbing and Johnny Rockets!
The Arcade! We are allowed to act like little kids on vacation right?!

Our pictures of our last dinner with Dan and Kristin and our adopted Family.
The bottom left picture is of Ty's victory he finally mastered Papa Don's trick that he showed us earlier in the week and got the spoon in the water glass. Go job Ty it was awesome.
That Evening sky was beautiful and the sunset was gorgeous.

These were some of our many random pictures from our last walk that last night.

These were all of our towel animals from the whole week. Everynight our housekeeper would make a different towel animal. Aren't they awesome!

Sunday July 5th
When we woke up we got ready, finished packing got some breakfast and out the door we went off of the ship with our bags. It was so sad to get off I was totally stalling haha. We got off the ship around ten and started our jOuRnEy back to Utah. We decided to hop off the freeway and take a detour. Our detour was a couple hours out of our way but ended up really exciting. Ty has been wanting to take me to one of the places he served on his mIsSiOn called Lake LA and so of course I wanted to go. When we finally got there all the people he knew were still in church so he decided to show me his house. After looking at it he then showed me where his favorite family the Fransens lived and then showed me around tOwN. Then he wanted to go to the church to see if there car was there and it was. I could totally tell he really wanted to see them. We were not in church clothes though we were in jeans and a t-shirt and flip flops since this was a spur of the moment thing. After much debating we decided to go in the church anyway. I got to finally meet brother and sister FrAnSeNs and their kids that I have heard so much about they were sooooo nice and I am so happy we stopped to see them. We talked to Sister Fransen at the church for like two more hours and I could tell Ty was loving being back there. When it was finally time to get back on the road I could tell Ty was sad to go. Thank you so much babe for sharing this part of your life with me. We got back on the rOaD and our next stop was the big huge thermometer. On our way home from our honeymoon we stopped and took a bunch of pictures by it so we decided to make it a tradition and do it again. The drive then continued until St. George we decide to stop to see them and tell them about our cruise and check out their new house again. It was fun visiting. We were stalling in st George and didn't want to leave because that meant our vacation was over :( That night when we finally did get to Cedar City it was so good to be back and in our own home.

As you can tell we were very sad to leave the habor. But we did both wear our new Mazatlan T-shirts on the car ride home. We are such typical tourists I love it :)
The middle big picture is a picture of me with our housekeeper Clemente! I loved Clamente he was so sweet and always greated us with such enthusiasm and he knew our names and he was just so cute! Ty made fun of me for always saying I love Clemente but he made me sooo happy! Thank you Clemente for everything

The two bottom pictures are the view to and from Lake LA its pretty and there are a lot of Joshua Trees.
That is the house that Ty lived in while in this area...spoiled it was old but BIG!
And yes that top picture is a picture ty took of me when he was filling up with gas and I was sleeping he thought it was so funny because my mouth is open and I am soooo out of it.

Our favorite part of the California/Utah drive is the big Thermometer! And yes it was July so it was freakin hot.

Thank you Baby for such an amazing vacation. I got to spend so much time with you and I couldn't have asked for a more fun time. Thank you for all the adventures, for dressing up with me, for all the fun pictures, for getting fake tattoos with me, and most of all for all of the memories that we get to share together. I can't wait to do this with you again!

Sorry for the long post but since it is a journal I didn't want to miss anything. A lot has happened in our lives since the begining of July so stay tuned for some more updating posts.
