Mason Jar Family picnic

 In August I had a fun family date idea 

I got it all together while Maddux was napping and while Ty was at work

without telling them anything about it

It was just a picnic but I thought it would be so fun to 

plan it all and go out and enjoy a summer night together at the park

 It was a Mason Jar Picnic

I got the idea from the cupcakes in a jar and decided

to make a whole meal in them

The yellow jars where mine

the Blue ones Ty's

and the red ones and the apple sauce were Maddux's

 Our main course was Beanie Weenies 

I made sure they were all warmed up before we left

then put them in our own individual jars

and added a spoon

 Then there was a salad with dressing 

I had Italian and Ty had Asian 

and I added a fork to it

 For our drink it was Cherry Limeade with Ice

and a straw attached to the side

 And to share between the three of us I cut up some cantaloupe

and put it in two jars

with a fork of course

 And don't forget the dessert 

It was cupcakes and frosting in a jar

with a fork

 And sprinkles on top

I kept these all covered until we got to Southwood Park

and then Ty was able to see what I had made us

 Enjoying our dinner outside together on a comfy picnic blanket

 My beautiful baby!

 He is so silly

He seriously makes me laugh everyday

 After we were done with dinner

we maked everything up put it in the car and headed over to the play area 

for Maddux 

 Our little super hero

 Lovin the slide with mommy

 He loved the swing

He seriously was smiles the whole time

and could have done it all night if we let him

We stayed to play until the sun started going down

Oh how I miss the summer days 

Thank you Ty and Maddux for making the family date perfect 

I hope it was a fun surprise for you both!

Arby's Backyard Picnic

At the beginning of August 

There was a really warm evening and Ty had a good days work

so we decided to get some Arbys and eat outside in the backyard on the picnic table

and then hang out and play with Maddux out there for a bit after dinner

Ty and I had French dip 

and a regular roast beef

And M had a junior roast beef and fries 

Lovin every bit of it

Watchin maddux play with the baseball in the grass

He loves anything he can throw

Maddux got up on the balcony and we played catch from him up therewith Ty

and me down on the grass back and forth for like twenty minutes it was so cute

Lastly Maddux had a mini Popsicle for dessert
and was even sweet enough to share :)

Picnic with Baby M

It was finally nice weather yesterday and I had no plans

So as soon as I did Insanity, showered and got ready 

(all while Maddux was napping)

I then decided to get a little picnic together for baby M and me 

This fantabuloso picnic was out in our ( Ty's grandmas) backyardI couldn't wait for him to wake up 

hungry and ready to party picnic with momma!

Baby M loves those dino nuggets let me tell ya

We get them at costco and they are a hit

I of course had a PB and J 

with some yummy homemade jam I made my very self 

With the help and supervision of my MIL of course

It was so pretty

the flowers were blooming

the grass freshly mowed

the trees bloomed, big and beautiful
giving us the perfect proportion of sun and shad

and the birds were seriously chirping all around us

He gets so excited when I put those nuggets on his tray

This little man has been addicted to Apple juice and 

won't drink his milk

that was not ok with momma

Milk is so good for you

so he is on a little juice fast 

and he is doing awesome

and drinking his milk like a champ

He is a big boy now

He likes me to give him his string cheese whole

I used to break it up for him

But he is like no way mom 

I can do it myself!

He doesn't exactly say that 

but since he east it better that way I assume that is what he is thinking 

He is so happy he thought he'd entertain me with a little solo

haha

After lunch...

we played BALL

This guy might be little but he surely knows

how to throw and catch a football

already :)

Daddy has been teaching him some fun skills lately

And he loves playing BALL it is his favorite game

We even read a little story

There is nothing like reading in the great out doors

A book just seems better reading it outside in the 

warm sun, barefoot with a slight breeze

don't you think?

I think I have created a monster

He is a milk-a-holic now

At least he will grow strong 

instead of have a million cavities from his juice

don't you just adore this face?!

I do 

and I get to kiss it 

everyday all day long

We spent about an hour and a half outside 

both happy as can be

We ate

We played

We laughed

We took pictures

We smiled

We read

We pointed

We moved

We danced 

and most of all WE had a blast doing it all
