Gatorade and Pedialyte

Why would I need to go to the store for these two products today

Can you guess?

Well they were in our home today

but will hopefully not be needed tomorrow (cross your fingers)

My boys had the tummy flu today

My poor little baby woke up with puke in his crib at 10:30 this morning :(

I was in the middle of Insanity when Ty found the ugly sight

So I paused cleaned him up 

and finished while Ty snuggled him with some juice in his sippy cup

Hubby also woke up not feeling well and 

it only got worse as the day went on

After giving M a bath, washing everything

and after getting him back down for a nap

and hubby down for a nap

I was able to shower, get ready, do my nails

and go to the store for these two supplies

Of course I called my mom since I had no clue what to give a sick baby

This is the first time he has ever had this

And she recommended giving him very light things like apple sauce and jello

and some Pedialyte to keep him hydrated

So of course after talking to her I got my supplies

I also had to get some grape Gatorade for my sick Ty

that is his favorite thing to drink when he is sick

I got grape of both drinks

like father like son

If any of you know me you know I do not do so well around puke

In fact I hate it

In fact I hadn't puked for six years until I got pregnant

and even then it was only once at the very end

I talk myself out of it

it is not worth it to me

So one of my biggest fears of being a mom 

was having to clean that stuff up

and I was scared I would be a horrible mom not being able to snuggle her sick baby

Well I was pretty proud of myself

Even though I may have gagged a few times

I did pretty well with the situation

I helped clean it up

And I snuggled the Bahgeebies out of my little Baby

and I LOVED every second of it

He was already seeming like he was doing better by tonight

But was very tired

I think I took pretty good care of my two boys 

and lets hope they are feeling better and refreshed in the morning

Discovery Gateway

A couple weeks ago on May 11th

Ty had a few days off between being done with school 

and not starting work yet

So one of the days we thought it would be fun to 

go to Discovery Gateway 

Its a really cute and fun children's museum 

at Gateway mall

I love it!

I think I love it more than M

Future Fire fighter!

It is a fun, interactive and learning museum 

There is a music area, construction, house, grocery store, 

a farm area, fireman, mailman, water area 

KSL 5 news area, a story area, tons of blocks and building things

a helicopter on the roof and they even have a special play area for the babies

Maddux LOVES music 

anything that plays music

or anything that he can make music with

He is such a sweetie and we had so much fun 

the three of us

He is in a kinda clingy scaredy cat stage

He wasn't lovin this huge horse we were putting him on

At least I got one picture before he started crying

and trying to climb off

I think the farm area was his favorite 

He loved all the buckets and food

especially the eggs

I think he still loves eggs because of the Easter egg hunts 

goin on a few weeks ago

Lovin just hangin out with DADDY!

He loves anything he can drive

Well anything with a wheel that spins 

that he can pretend he is driving

Baby M has some BREAKING NEWS for you all!!!

There is a really cool helicopter outside on the roof of the museum

It is a real big one sooooo cool

It has all the buttons, switches, lights, joystick and everything

Pretty sure I LOVE this place 

Me and Maddux had been before

But it was fun to go again and to show daddy around 

and all the fun things to do

We will for sure be going again this summer

Insane...

 I have been training for a half marathon

It is a huge goal of mine

I got close once but then got pregnant

I have been training again since March

I was doing really good

I was on the right track

I got up to eight miles pretty quick

The second time I ran eight miles 

something happened to my knee

I don't know what yet so I am taking a break from running

But not for long only until I can get some new shoes

I need more support

I think I am going to go to one of those specialty places that tell you what shoes you need

for your type of foot and for how you run

Have any of you gone to one of those places? 

Is it worth it?

What was your experience with them?

I am still hoping to be doing a half this year

Now that I have posted that goal

I feel like I am obligated to do it now

I like that :)

So since I am not running right now

And my gym membership at the U has expired 

I am doing this....

For the next 54 days

I have tried it once before 

I kinda did it for a month

I did it for about 30 days but not in a row so it doesn't count

But this time...this time it is going to be different

Because my cute friend Elyse!

She asked me to do it with her

She is in Cali for the summer 

But we started the same day and are following the same schedule 

So I feel the support as if we are doing it together

We started last Monday May 9th 

Already on Friday May 14 I had a super crazy morning and just didn't want to do it

But I knew Elyse would so I did

I did it at 1 pm when little M went down for a nap

But I finally did it 

Even though 1 pm is about the hardest time of day to exercise

Later I found out Elyse had a hard day that day too and almost didn't do it

that day but knew I would

See we are keeping each other on track even without being in the same state

THE TRAINER

 Everyone meet Shaun T...Shaun T meet everyone

He is going to be my best friend everyday (except Sunday its my rest day)

for the next 2 months

He is hard core

He is going to make me lose some weight....I hope

Sometimes I hate him

Sometimes I love him

Maddux's First Birthday

This handsome guy would like to announce that as of April 28th He is a ONE YEAR OLD!

I know I can't believe it has been a whole year since M graced us with his presence 

11 days early might I add. 

He did not get the early thing from me. nope, He got that from his daddy ;)

We had a fun family party for his the Saturday before his birthday so more people could come

But of course we wanted this little guy to feel special on his real Birthday 

So Ty and I decided we would take his to the zoo

just the three of us!

He was fasinated by the monkeys..

thats what he is looking at all intently here

He is in a really clingy stage lately but we really like it 

cuz now he is full of snuggles

What mommy and daddy doesn't like a good snuggle from their baby

He was a little nervous about the whole animal thing at first

which totally surprised us

but as time went on he warmed up a little more

I just need to take him a lot this summer I guess

Ok this was the cutest thing I have ever seen

It pulled at my little heart strings

Madduc loved this little monkey and it was right by the glass

The monkety put his little hand on the glass and M

put his hand on the other side

Oh my heavens it was adorable they just stared at each other 

hand on hand through the glass

This was after the monkey took his hand away

M still had his up there

and they stared at each other forever

M loved him

We need a pet monkey :)

M wasn't so sure about sitting on even the fake animals

Again he is in a bit of a scardy cat stage right now

His very favorite animal was the giraffe 

There were so many of them inside so close to us because it was lunch time

He kept pointing at them and smiling

So of course we had to get him a little stuffed animal giraffe for a bday present at the zoo

He loves it now and snuggles it every nap and bedtime

I worried the whole time 

I wanted to make sure he was having a blast on his birthday

I wanted it to be perfect

I wanted him to love his day

Ty had to remind me he was having so much fun and to not worry

I can't help it 

I wanted him to have a perfect day

He did turn the BIG one after all

He was completely pooped after the zoo

This is on our car ride home 

He was out in like 10 minutes

Looks like he did have FUN! 

He is even snuggling his new toy

We decided to give the little man a happy meal for his birthday dinner

Oh man did he love his nuggets and fries

We even gave him a little sprite

It was adorable

He also loves the little action figures that he got

Why is it kids like the cheap McDonalds toys better than the AWESOME toys we get them?

After the zoo we headed down to my parents to hang out for a bit and have some cake

M is playin with uncle Adam here

Yay Birthday boy

I made another Elmo cake for us all to have on his real birthday too

Mommy and Daddy got him a mini mister potato head, a steering wheel, an Elmo movie, the classic rings toy that is pictured here and of course his giraffe from the zoo!
