February Catch Up

Why am I so bad at this blogging thing? I need to stay caught up because since it is my journal I want everything on here and it just gets tiring to catch up sometimes haha so my goal is to stay on top of it. I am also going to be sharing some of my crafting ideas on her every so often. Since I am a stay at home mommy now I keep myself busy, while the little "M" is napping, with my new love of crafts :) Well for now here is our eventful February.

Valentines Day
First of all we had the wonderful day of LOVE to celebrate. Man I love valentine's Day now that I am married. Although I would like to think Ty and I show each other every day how much we love one another V-day is just another fun excuse to show that love to my hubby and get some yummy food, presents and dessert out of it.
Ty took me out on our Vday date the Friday before. We dropped Maddux off at his grandma and grandpa Ulrich's and we got to enjoy some dinner and a movie just the two of us. We went to my favorite Olive Garden for dinner and of course we polished off our yummy meal with the black tie dessert. mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

After our yummy dinner and feeling like we are going to explode from our full tummies we headed off to the theater and saw a fun Romantic Comedy "Just Go With It." What a sweet hubby to take me to a chick flick, he is such a sport. It was a good movie for me because it had the love story in it but it was good for Ty because it was hilarious.

On the actual V-day, the 14th, we celebrated again at home as a family. I woke up to a happy valentines note in my bedroom and a huge love note written with Dry erase maker on the bathroom mirror. It was sooooooo cute! While Ty was at school Maddux and I went and got Ty's present and also made some chocolate covered strawberries for him to come home to. We first went to dinner at Ty's parents house with his grandma Ulrich and had some yummy sugar cookies for dessert. Then we headed home got our cute little bugger to bed and relaxed together. We got in our comfys and snuggled up on the coach with a blanket and watched Just Friends. Ty had never seen it and I love it so that was a fun movie to watch together. Especially since me and Ty were 'Just Friend' before we got together haha. I told Ty to not get me anything because he took me on a date on Friday but of course he broke the rule and got me a card from Maddux, a card from him, a forever rose (these are so cool because they last two years and I just love seeing it everyday in my room), a stuffed animal, and one of my fav style magazines. Isn't he so cute? :) Me and Ty got him a card and a massage! He has never had one before so we thought it would be a fantastic treat for him. He is always so busy with school and taking care of us that I thought he deserved to relax. Thank you for loving me Ty!

Also can I just say how wonderful it was to have two valentines this year. I love you Ty and Maddux you are both my entire world and couldn't imagine life without you both here with me.

Ty's Birthday
On Thursday, February 17th it was Ty's 26th Birthday. He had to go to school on his birthday but luckily he only had school until noon that day so the rest of the day was spent with us. He woke up to sticky notes all over the house telling him happy birthday and a sorts of things that we love about him I think there was at least 50! There was also 3 happy birthday signs: one in the bathroom, one in the kitchen and one on the front door. When he got home he came home to a Big happy birthday sign on the wall, balloons everywhere and his presents sitting on the counter ready for him to open.

He wanted some subway for lunch so he brought that home for us and after we ate he opened his presents. Maddux got him the 3rd season of Arrested Development, I got him some new shorts and the big present that Maddux and I gave him, that we were super excited about, was a blue ray player. He was so surprised and excited for that one :) The rest of the day we just snuggled, relaxed and played with Maddux. Then that night we went to dinner with Ty's parents to Tucano's at the Gateway. Ty loves this place and it was the first time I had ever been. It was really good. I didn't used to be much of a meat eater, but since I have been married to Ty I have learned to really love meat. They also had a yummy salad bar and the BEST grilled pineapple I have ever had. We had them sing to Ty for his bday in Brazilian and he got a yummy dessert out of it that he shared with me and Maddux. It was also a really cool atmosphere I can see us going there again fairly soon. Yum. After dinner we headed over to Ty's parents to have some birthday cake and ice cream and to visit with Mike and Jess and there kids while they were up here visiting for a few days.

I hope my baby had an amazing birthday. I tried to make it very special for him and spoil him because he deserves it more than anyone I know. I love him so much and I am so grateful to have him in my life. I am grateful to be married to him for eternity. I am so grateful that he is such an amazing daddy to Maddux. He is such an amazing example to me and I just couldn't live without him.

Studio 5 and Discovery Gateway
Well first of all to start this section off I have to say that I LOVE studio 5 and watch it everyday. If I am busy while it is on I always have it recorded. I love all the cute ideas they are always showing on their crafting segments. I am often inspired by what they show, say and do on this show. So I was watching like I always do and they were talking about how they are going to have an ambush week I thought it was cool but didn't think much else about it then as it got closer and closer I thought it would be so fun to go to one of the locations that week and meet Brooke or Daren. The day before they would be doing the photography ambush with Laci I decided on a whim to go to this one. They would be doing a free photo session at the children museum at gateway and you would get one free print. I thought I would LOVE to meet Brooke and I LOVE Laci to pieces. She is so talented as a photographer and is just as cute as can be. I would love to be this girls friend she is just as adorable in person. That morning I got Maddux all ready dressed and fed and we headed off to the gateway to Discovery Gateway Museum where we would be able to meet these two beautiful ladies and get a cute picture of Maddux for free.

We got there, found where they were set up, got in line, and signed up for a slot with the cute intern that was as nice as can be. So I was just standing there in line waiting my turn and watching Brooke in action when they would come to her on live TV to show what they were doing and it was so fun to see everyone on TV and I just couldn't wait to watch it at home later on my DVR. Well, as I was standing there about to go up to get Maddux's picture taken and being able to meet Laci, Brooke came up to me and asked me if I wouldn't mind being on live with her and they would show Maddux getting his picture taken by Laci while she was giving tips on photographing babies. I was really nervous but I said yes. I found out about 2 minutes before we would be on. I was so nervous. I was just scared I would look dumb or whatever.

Me and the intern getting us all singed up and our info to get the pic sent to us.

Laci in action. Hard at work. She is seriously so talented and I am going to hire her in the future to do our family pictures. You can check out her blog here. Seriously go take a look at her talent you will fall in love too.

Laci, me and Maddux and Brooke
It was a lot of fun and it wasn't too bad being on live TV either. Maddux was such a cute little stinker. He kept running away and for sure stole the show. Daren kept asking about him. It was so cute. But it was really weird to come home and watch me and Maddux on Studio 5. I am such a dork but I just love this show so much so it was really exciting for me. Especially to meet these cute ladies.

This is one of the cute pictures that Laci got of him. I am in LOVE with it. I am just amazed that she got this cute of one with how wiggly he was and how much he was crawling away.

My handsome boy.

Studio 5 also sent us this one. It was fun to get a mommy Maddux pic. Even though I was not prepared to get my pic taken.

Here is the video with me and Maddux. This is the whole episode and we are on about 26 min 30 sec into it. They also showed his picture the next Monday for a recap on ambush week.I was seriously so excited to meet Brooke and Laci I can't say it enough. I know I am a complete nerd but don't just too harshly I just get really star struck especially when I admire the person.

We are also in this highlight of ambush week video at the end when they are talking about the photo shoot. Did you see when they were at the gym. I was hoping to go to that one too but Maddux was napping at it wa sin Bountiful so I didn't make it. darn oh well I'm glad I went to the one I did.

Since we were already at discovery gateway we decided to stay a couple more hours and play there. I had never been there before but it was so cute and there were even areas for the little little ones like Maddux to play. He was in heaven with all the toys and little kids around he was just loving every second of it. We for sure need to go here more often maybe even get an annual pass.

Play with the plastic balls. It was so cute there was a little girl that was like 4 that gave him a bucket to put his balls in. She wanted to play with him and was so nice to share. It was so fun to watch him explore.

playing in the house. He decided he wanted to vacuum with the pink one. He actually does love vacuums every time I do it at home he chases me around the house and smiles the whole time.Guess I need a pink one :)

This was his favorite toy there. We would go play with something else and he would always come back to this one. He loved the music it played. "Daddy it looks like I am going to follow in your footsteps when it comes to playing the piano!"

He loved staring at the kids he is absolutely fascinated with what big kids can do.

Look at that adorable face. He is so concentrated. He was seriously in heaven when we were at this place. I thought he would be to little to like it there but I was so wrong.

 Lovin' the huge Legos

After played for about an hour and a half it was time to go home eat a snack and take a nap. He wore himself out. It only took me getting out of the parking garage before he was already sleeping soundly in his car seat. So cute. What an eventful day for mommy and Maddux.
Ten months Old
I can't believe my little man is ten months old today 2-28-11. What the heck? I didn't say he could grow up this fast. It makes me a little sad but I do love to watch him learn and discover new things. He is so smart and it developing the cutest most fun personality I have ever seen in such a small little body. He is always the life of the park and my heart just melts every time I see his smile. Developmentally he has changed so much this month he is learning new things everyday and loves to copy cat what mommy and daddy do.  Here is a little bot about little Maddux at ten months old:
**He had his first sugar cookie on Valentine's day
**This little mister has seven teeth now and almost eight. This month he got two more top teeth next to his front teeth and he also got another bottom tooth next to his middle teeth on the bottom and has one more bottom tooth on the verge of breaking through
**Maddux has started to really like apple juice from a sippy cup and has even started tilting it on his own
**Dux loves cords and it is so hard to keep him away from them

**He loves to play and to learn and discover new things. He has a new love of toys and books.
**He loves food. He will eat anything. He loves his baby food especially peas and apples. He loves big people food especially bread, peas and potatoes. He also loves his snacks such as baby cheetos, baby puffs and nilla waffers.
**He sleeps with his little glow worm sea horse that he got from us for Christmas. He sleeps with him at night and every nap. He loves him. It is so sweet.
**He loves all the little girls at church and follows them around the whole time.

**We go to the library almost every Wednesday for story time and after the story time and play time we check out some books for little Maddux as bedtime stories for the rest of the week until the next Wednesday and then we return them and get new books for the next week. He is really starting to love his story time. Daddy reads to him while mommy feeds him right before night night time. The first time we went to story time was with his cute little friend Anna and her mom from our ward.
**Dux is such a good little sleeper and sleeps about 10-12 hours straight at night
**He has gotten really good at giving 5s especially to daddy since he is the one who taught him this trick
**He likes to do this new high pitch squeal in stores or when he is mad I do not like this very much he is such a spoiled stinker. Good thing he is adorable.

**He does "So Big" now. Whenever we say so big he lifts his hands above his head. I have been trying to teach him this forever and then he did it for the first time in front of his daddy and aunt manda when I was at Bunko but I did get a picture of it so I guess that is ok. Here he is showing us So Big. His favorite place to do it up in his high chair though I don't know why but that is where he does it the most.
**This little guy loves the mimic us. He loves to learn new things.
**He will still do his fake cough when someone else in the room coughs
**Maddux flaps his arms and slap the ground when he is excited and it is so fun to watch.
**Here he is doing another new trick of his which is doing the raspberries with his lips as he moves his lips with his finger. He learned this from daddy.
**Another cute new trick that he learned this month is shaking his head no. There was one day at the store he was screaming and I shook my head and said no no no and he smiles and shook his head and he has been shaking his head no ever since. He does it every time we say no no no with a big mischievous smile on his face like he know he is being silly.
**Dux likes to click his tongue and show people that he can and he is so proud of himself when he does make the noise
**He loves his grandma and grandpas and loves to show off for them and play with them.

**He burrows his head in soft things like blankets, pillows, or our neck when he is tired. He also will pull on his ears, rub his eyes or do raspberries with his lips and finger when he is tired.
**He likes to sit in the bog boy basket of the shopping carts on his own now without being in his car seat it is his favorite thing to do because he loves to watch all the people at the store and smile at them
**When he is getting a new tooth in he will rub his tongue over it over and over again I think it feels good on his poor sore gums
**Little M loves his aunts and uncles and especially loves it when they sleepover at our house and are constantly giving him attention

**Dux wears size 3 diapers, 9-12 month clothes, 6-12 size socks and size 3 infant shoes
**He is baby babbling and jibber jabbering so much more now and even says "da da da" all the time. He loves to say da da. That is how he has a conversation with us.
**Little M takes 2-3 naps a day but he is making a slow transition into taking just two naps a day. Sometimes he takes two and sometimes three I think we will be down to two naps permanently this next month.
**He loves to see himself in the mirror and smiles and waves to himself every time we walk past one

**He also learned how to clap his hands this month. It is so cute he will clap when we say yay and after he does so big.
**He is such a busy body and is all over the place he never stays still and just has to be moving. It is fun to have an active baby but boy oh boy does he keep me on my toes and busy all the time.
**He loves remotes but he wants the real ones not the ones that we let him play with (How does he know? the little stinker)Same with phones he wants the real ones and he knows when they are not the working ones that don't light up and call and text random people. Sorry if he has done that to any of you.
**He gives kisses to us and we just love it so much. He opens his mouth and leans toward us.

**Maddux still loves his binkie and it is always attached to him
**His favorite game is still to throw the CD cases and I clean them up every time he goes down for a nap and then he does it again and I clean them again
**He likes lemons. No seriously he does. He will bit and suck on it and make a really funny face but then he grabs for more.
**When he wakes up he has started to reach for things that are outside of his crib to keep him busy looks like mommy needs to make sure certain things are not in his reach.

**He crawls soooooo fast and loves to pull himself up on everything.
**He still likes to sneak into the bathroom and even discovered the toilet paper roll
**Maddux gets so excited when his daddy gets home from school and just wants to be held by him. He is bored with me since he sees me all day long. Also when mommy goes to the gym at night M plays with daddy for a few hours just the two of them and I think they both just LOVE every minute of it and then I am able to get a break and some exercising done as well.
**Sometime he will wake up earlier in the morning and his daddy will peak in on him in the morning before he goes to school and he is sitting up and then we will look later and he goes back to sleep for a little bit.

**He likes to get into our kitchen gadget draw and loves to play with the measuring cups and spoons.
**He loves knobs and likes to open anything with a knob, especially drawers and cabinets
**Dux loves buttons anything with a button on it catches his eye and he loves the pull at it with his little fingers luckily he can't break them off yet.
**He loves his crib he will not sleep in our arms and only sometimes in his car seat now but when he is really tired he just sinks into his bed and loves every minute of it.

**He is the smiliest baby I have ever seen. He smiles at least 500 times a day. He smiles at me, at daddy, at strangers he just loves to smile and show off all his teeth.
**At grandma and grandpa Ulrich's he loves to climb up the one stair from their living room to the kitchen and he has gotten really good at it
**He has been a little more clingy lately and like to be held a lot more. Which is ok with me....I love it actually.
**Dux loves his picture taken and smiles every time he sees a camera

**He is starting to like to walk while holding onto our fingers. He is getting really good at it. I wonder when he will walk or stand on his own?
**He loves to crawl on wood floors at both of his grandparents house because we only have carpet and he likes how fast he can go and how slippery it is
**He leans toward us now when he wants us and will be right at our feet when he wants us to pick him up
**He loves daddy's guitars and has figured out how to flick the strings so they make noise.

**He always smiles after he sneezes...He thinks it is funny which then makes me laugh and then he laughs more and it is a big cycle...so fun
**This little man still loves baths and he had his very first bath in the big boy bath by himself and loved it. He loves his bath toys, he loves being naked, he loves the water and he loves to splash.
**Dux loves to follow me around when I am vacuuming the house.
**He loves music and is always so mesmerized by it. He even likes my singing which is scary it just shows that he loves music and songs. He just loves to learn and I couldn't be more proud of that as him mommy.

Ahhhh he has the sweetest little face ever!
**Maddux got some new sunglasses today. I found them at target for $1 when we went to get him a new swimming suit and couldn't pass them up. If you are asking why we are getting a swimming suit in February it is because we are going on a play date with my cute friend Amber and her daughter Anna tomorrow at an indoor splash pad and we are so excited. I am glad maddux gets to sport him new cute swimming suit He will have a blast.

My Valentine Decor

So Since I am in love with blog stalking especially design and decor blogs I decided that I would get a little more into the Valentine decor this year and make some of my own with some ideas and inspirations from my favorite blogs. Being a stay at home mom is so much fun and I am loving it but I needed to keep myself busy while the babe is napping and while I am stuck inside all day with this winter weather so why not start crafting I thought?! :) Now I just need a craft partner so I am not doing all by myself. haha. So anyway off I went to the dollar store, a couple craft stores and my own craft drawer and got to work. Now don't judge me I am just starting out on this whole DIY thing so practice makes perfect right?! I'll get better and I am sure I will re due some of them next year haha. So here is what I came up with.

This is the top of my entertainment center. I cropped out the TV cuz ESPN was on or something I don't know haha. Anyway The Ulrich sign (present from our wedding), the big U (got on a good deal at a boutique in Cedar City last year) and the "God Bless America Sign" (Got it from our wedding) stay up all year round. Then I added the cute garland that I got at Roberts last year on sale after Valentines Day and the cute wooden blocks that I also got at Roberts last year. You could totally make these easily though and I totally would have if I was crafty last year haha. Then I added in the cute lovey dovey willow tree statues and my awesome free printables I got from the wonderful world of blogging. First I spray painted the frames that I already had, red, white and pink and I love how they turned out.  I got the printables from Organize and Decorate Everything and My Yellow Sandbox (Originally, going from left to right, they are from: The Fickle Pickle, Today's Fabulous Finds, and It Is What It Is.)

I love this cute little table...my mom has had ti forever and gave it to me when I was in high school and it stayed in my room at home until I got married and then she gave it to me to go into my very own home. It means a lot to me. I might repaint the sides one day we will see. The decor on this table is simple. I just used my white IKEA vases and sticks to spruce up my Love sign that I got from Roberts last year (This is something else that I would have loved to make if I didn't already own it...so easy especially if you have a cricut or Silhouette) I might even make some for people for gifts.

I recently got a silhouette and am in LOVE with it and this was my first project that I did with it. I got this idea, "love birds" from the lovely Shelly at House of Smiths. She has a vinyl company and has so many cute ideas and I was like "Hey I can make that with my silhouette and make it my own with a little different birds and lettering" and here it is. I just found a branch and bird that I liked at the silhouette store and bought them with my gift card that came with my machine so they were FREE and then I used a cute FREE font that I already had on my computer and cut the vinyl that I already had so that was also FREE! wahoo! I love my antique windows and it is so fun to spruce them up each season with some vinyl and pictures. The Ulrich Vinyl that my mom cut for me a couple months ago stays up all year long. Oh and BTW I got these cute antique windows in Cedar City a couple years ago at a antique store for only $12 a peace! Great deal since I have seen them as much as $30 for just one before.

For my other window I just printed off a cute family picture of us that my little sis took of us just on my home computer with photo paper which I already had so that was FREE again and then I just cute me some cute hearts with the silhouette on some Vinyl that I already had and walla! Also the Est. 2007 and our names stays up on the other window...Thanks again mom for making those for me.

This is in my long hallway from the kitchen to the living room right below my cute antique windows. So don't judge me about this table I plan on painting it, but I have to wait until it is warmer outside and when I decide on a color (I am thinking red? what do you think? please give me some input). I actually got the table at the DI for only $20 I couldn't pass it up and I can't wait until it is all cute and redone. Anyway onto the V-day decor. I have had this vase full of branches from my backyard up since Thanksgiving with different colored ribbons on it and I just slapped a red ribbon on it and it looks Valentinie. I then added that cute little V-day girl I have had forever (it was a valentine present from my mom when I was in Jr. High and I love it), the cute little vases that I got from the dollar section at target and filled them with heart picks from the dollar store, and some old and cheap frames and FREE printables. Again I spray painted the Frames, pink, red and white and I got them from the DI and dollar store. I got the Printables from Organize and Decorate Everything and Tatertots and Jello (Originally, going from left to right, they are from: Barn Owl Primitives, The Fickle Pickle, and Less Cake More Frosting)

In my kitchen I needed a little something something Valentinie in there so on top of my microwave I added a red candle, some fancy glasses filled with marbles (all those things I already had), and a printable that I made which was inspired by 320 Sycamore. I just used a cute font that I already had on my computer and printed it out, put it in a dollar store frame that I kept black and added the little foam LOVE sign that I got from the dollar section at Target (I love that section)

This is just simply my calendar that I use year round in my kitchen I got it for super cheap (like a dollar I think) at a yard sale a couple years back. I like that it is like a white board and is easy to change every month but I wanted it to look cuter so I decided to break out the new Silhouette again and cut out the month, year, the love sign, and hearts out of vinyl to make it all cutesy and it was free because I already had the vinyl and it is super easy to change each month because vinyl comes off and goes on so easily. I for sure think I will do this with coordinating colors for each month from now on.

These shelves are in my living room and I decided they needed to be filled with some Love so here we go. The U always stays there and I thought it still looked cute there. I then added those cute little glass bottles that I already had (I got them from an antique store in Cedar City for super cheap) and added some heart picks that I got from the dollar store and a red flower that I already had in my craft stash. On the middle shelf I filled it with these dollar store frames that I kept black and then just printed those cute letters from my computer in red and walla a cheap sign. I think that I will spell out LUCK with those frames for next month (That was actually Ty's idea so I can't take credit for it :) so cute). On the next shelf that vase and sticks stay up all year round and I just added in some heart picks that I already had and then I got the cute LOVE YOU scrabble sign Idea from 320 Sycamore. I got the frame from the DI and it was super ugly so I spray painted it white and ended up loving it for this project.

And I am proud to say that the V-day boa wreath was all my idea! Woot! Yay I finally got a little creative and did this one on my own and it was super easy. I got one of those circle wreath forms from Michaels (it was like $3 I think) and wrapped it with some red yarn that I already had and pinned it in place with a straight pin. Then I pinned this red boa that I got from JoAnnes (I think it was like $4) and wrapped it around pinning it again at the other end. Then I fluffed it a little and added a cute black flower to embellish it and I think it finished it off perfectly. You could put this on your front door but I already had a big heart on my door so I decided to put it here and really like it.

My front door (well it is a back door but is our front door haha) to our cute basement apartment. I keep the Welcome sign up all year round and then I got this cute wall hanging at Roberts a couple years ago. But again this would be pretty easy to make if you have a few tools and a electronic cutter.

The last place that I have decorated is my version of a Faux Mantel since I don't have a real  one yet. (One day when I have my own home I will have a beautiful real mantel that I can decorate). The cute printable that is in the middle and the candle sticks stay up all year round. The framed printable was a Christmas present from my mom and dad and the candle sticks are from the DI that I spray painted black last year. I got the little glass jars from the DI, cleaned them out and filled them with some pink gum balls and rec cinnamon hearts. The jar on the left I got at the dollar store and filled it up with some dollar store heart picks that I just cut the sticks off of. Then I spelled out Valentine with scrabble letters and they fit perfectly on the scrabble stand. Then last but not least I made those cute rosette balls. All you need is the color crap paper you want (I picked red and pink), a hot glue gun, and foam ball forms. I got my crap paper at the dollar store and the ball forms at Michaels, but I should have looked at the dollar store cuz they are kinda pricey for my liking. They were so fun to make, They are very time consuming and take a little bit to catch on to but once you do they are really fun to make. I think I will make some more for my spring decor. I got the idea and tutorial from the House of Smiths.

It was so much fun decorating for V-day this year and I am looking forward to start making stuff for spring! Bring it on Blog Friends I need your ideas. Also I need some crafty friends to do crafty nights with. :) Make sure to visit all those links if you want to get some cute FREE printables and some cute ideas.
Also I just had to put this picture on here because my little mister is just so cute I have to show him off even when he is being naughty and has no pants on! :)

Nine months old

Yup. I know it is true...It has already been another month and Maddux is 9 months old as of January 28th. I know I say it every month...but what the heck? STOP GROWING! haha ok so he is really fun but still my baby is getting too big too fast for my liking. I am such a crazy mom I can already tell I am going to be one of those that cries at all his birthdays and just think he is going to leave me and never look back haha. oh jeeze. Anyway on his 9 month birthday he had his check up at the doctors. He is lookin good but my little man is just so little haha.

Here are his stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 8 ounces (18%tile)
Length: 28 inches (42%tile)
Head Circumference: 17.7 inches (42%tile)

He had to get one shot this visit because they were out of it last time so I felt bad for him on that because usually at nine months they don't have any. But at least he only had to get one this time and he cried a little but then looked up at me and smiled and was being so tough. I have such a tough little man. He just makes me smile so much. Also while he was there I asked about his cough that has been making him throw up and his fever and the doc said he would give him an antibiotic and then he checked his ears and my mellow baby had the start of a double ear infection and we didn't even know because he hasn't even been that cranky. Poor baby. Well now he has the medicine and is on day 6 of 10 days so it is really helping him a lot. He doesn't have a cough anymore and he seems to be feeling better. It is bubble gum flavored and he LOVES it he always opens his mouth for more when he is done taking it. It is so funny. Well, at least we don't have to fight him to take it. He also got his cyst by his eye checked and the doctor said it should hopefully be going away on its own but if it doesn't by a year they might have to drain it, but for now it isn't dangerous and he said it should be fine unless it noticeably starts growing.  Everything else is going well as far as the doctor is concerned and he will be going again when he is a year. I can't believe he will be a year in three short months. CRAZY TALK!

Here is a little about our little "M" at nine months old:
**He loves his Sunday after church naps (evidence above :)) Doesn't he look so precious and peaceful when he is sleeping. Awwwww he melts my heart.
**Maddux does the cutest thing when we say we are gonna get him or growl at him he will smile crawl away and burrow his face in the bed or pillow like he is hiding from us.
**He wear size 3 diapers and size 6-9 and 9-12 depending on the brand in clothing.

**He enjoys Sparky's crate....up that is right he climbed into this the other day while we were at Grandma Julie's. He was loving all the attention after and all the pics we were taking of him....What a stinkin Cute ham!
**When we cough he will mimic us by doing his fake cough it is so funny. How does he even know to do that? Silly boy.
**He is still loving our CDs and flings them off of the stand. It is like a game to him he gets some sort of excitement out of it. Silly boy. I don't mind cuz he can't hurt them. I just clean them up when he goes down for a nap and he usually comes and gets them again when he wakes up haha I probably clean them up 3 or 4 times a day.

**Maddux has become such a busy body and is everywhere...he is just all over the place and is so fast it is hard to keep track of him. Man when he starts walking I am going to be in trouble. haha
**Dux is always trying to copy us and follow us around everywhere. He is very into the mimicking thing lately.
**He really likes to be outside which is sad right now since it is cold but even when we are only outside for a sec from the car to the store he is loving it.

**Maddux loves the make his cheesy smile face...especially at Grandpa Doug. My day will do it to him and he will do it back it is so cute. This pic was taken on my mom's birthday at Red Robin.
**He always smiles after he sneezes...He thinks it is funny which then makes me laugh and then he laughs more and it is a big cycle...so fun
**He is starting to like to walk while holding onto our fingers. He is getting really good at it. I wonder when he will walk on his own? probably around a year but I wouldn't be surprised if it were sooner.

**One day on our way home from my parents he decided he was going to be extra fussy so we decided to give him a bottle. He doesn't have bottles very often but it is so cute to watch him feed himself. I was chillin with him in the back seat of the car to try to cheer him up. Oh and after this picture was taken he started coughing his flemy cough he has which made him gag and throw up all over so all the food he just ate came right back up and I ended up nursing him when we got home anyway. oh well.
**He still loves paper...everything about it: the feel, the sound it makes, and the taste...yes the taste he is always trying to eat paper....stinker I don't want to find anymore paper in his poo
**Maddux is loving the little girls in our ward right now. He is such a flirt. There are these twin girls that he loves to follow around, and then there is a little girl a month younger than him that I always tease they will date one day (She is adorable) and then there is a new little cutie that is a little older than him that he likes to follow around cuz she just learned to walk. During sacrament meeting we usually end up in the foyer with all these cute little girls.

**This is at the doctors office for his nine month check last Friday. Isn't he so cute he loved the crinkly paper on the bed and the mirror. He even kept giving himself kisses it was so cute.
**He gives us kisses now. This milestone makes me the very happiest mama ever! When we ask for a kiss he will open his mouth and lean toward us. Yesterday I was laying on the bed and complaining of my headache to Ty and all of a sudden Little M came and gave me a kiss with out me even asking. This is the first time he has given a kiss without us asking for one first. I wanted to cry it was sweet.
**Maddux has started to lean toward us when he wants us. If someone else is holding him and he wants me or Ty he will lean to us telling us he wants us to hold him. Or he will be right at our feet waiting for us to pick him up. So cute.

**He still loves to be naked...that is his favorite part of his check ups is when he gets to chill in his diaper and goes to get weighed.
**Maddux still loves the bathroom because he likes that it is a different floor in there cuz the rest of our apartment is carpet. We have to close the door or he would be in there getting into toilet paper and the trash for hours. yuck.
**He celebrated his first New Years Eve in his ninth month.

**He likes to follow uncle Zach's yo-yo around the house. Zach was pulling his yo-yo around and Maddux was following him for like 20 minutes it was so cute to watch
**He doesn't fall asleep in our arms very often so when he does we really cherish it and he did twice this month with me while he was eating so of course I snuggled him and took a nap with him and I seriously LOVED every minute. If he would nap with me snuggling him every day I totally would, but he usually prefers his bed.
**He likes to roll his little ankles around. He will just be sitting there watching TV or something and just roll around his ankles I love to watch it it is so funny and cute.

**His favorite toys are still his rings and he LOVES his soft Elmo book he gets so interested in it like he is reading it to himself and he likes to twist it in his hands and pass it off between both hands.
**Baby Einstein is still his favorite show. If he is sad it always cheers him up. If he is having a hard time eating if we turn that on in the background he does awesome....he also still likes dinosaur train and the cat in the hat.
**Dux loves bread. He is constantly wants to steal our rolls or bread when we are eating. Of course we share with him.

**He is always so mischievous and likes to get into everything. He likes to explore and learn what everything is.
**He is such a good little eater. He had his first real non baby food banana and peas this month and he liked them both especially the peas. He is also still doing really well with the nursing and nurses about four to five times a day.Dux also loves the feed himself finger foods with no help. He likes to eat baby Cheetos and puffs (we call those his treats...and when we ask him if he wants some treats he gets so excited. His breath always smells like Cheetos haha) all by himself. Such a big boy :)
**Maddux is usually found right at our feet lately. Very clingy and likes to follow us around. He wants to know we are not going out of his sight. I don't know where this fear of us leaving him is coming from.

**He always has such a huge smile on his face. He is so easy to get to laugh or smile and show off his new teeth.
**Maddux likes to watch sports and Wipe Out with his daddy. It really keeps his attention and he will even snuggle with daddy while watching them.
** He loves cords. Any kind of cord: to the vacuum, a charger any thing and it is a pain in the butt because of course we don't want him playing with electrical cord but this boy is so hard to keep away from them.

**Do you see those top two teeth. Yup he had 2 bottom ones last month and now he has two more on the top. They are so cute. They both came in on the same day and they have a cute little gap in them. He also has two more top teeth on the verge of breaking through. I can't believe he will have 6 teeth soon.
**Little M loves bath or shower time he knows when the water turns on that he gets to have a bath or shower and gets to play in the water. He LOVES it! His baby bath smells so good :)
**He sleeps with his little glow worm sea horse that he got from us for Christmas. He sleeps with him at night and every nap. He loves him. It is so sweet.

**He does this new thing that when we click our tongue he will do it back to us and now he will just do it on his own sometimes. He is in the middle of clicking his tongue in this picture. He is so proud of himself when we clap for him for copying us. :)
**Dux is such a good little sleeper and sleeps about 10-12 hours straight at night
**He loves to play with my phone but he knows when it is not a real working phone he wants mine that lights up and calls people. I am pretty sure he has called China on my phone. Seriously this boy loves electronics. Plus I think he likes to see the picture of himself that it my wall paper on my front screen. I mean it is the cutest little face in the world.

**Maddux has a new open mouth smile that he likes to flash at us a zillion times a day just because he loves to melt our hearts.
**He has had two colds in the last month...poor baby it just keeps going around in our home. The humidifier is helping his nose and cough so much  though and so are the lovely antibiotics.
**He is getting more used to drinking apple juice and water out of his sippy cup but we are still working on learning how to tip it on his own. I think because he is nursing and not bottle fed he doesn't really get the tilting the cup thing like a bottle fed baby would. But he is getting the hang out it we just have to show him sometimes. I can't believe he is working on a sippy. He is getting so big.

**He has just started to dance. When he hears music he will stand up holding the table or couch and bounce up and down. Ty says this picture he is doing a wrestling stance...I say he is dancing but really he is just trying not to fall.
**Maddux interacts and plays with his toys more and loves when we play and share in the excitement with him.
**He has started to give 5s. Smarty pants. His daddy taught him this trick

**This little man is pulling up on everything and loves to be standing up all the time.
**His ABC wall in his room is finally done and up this month and now we just need to finish the rest of his nursery.
**He has 3 naps a day

**He loves his picture taken and is always wanting to pose for the camera. He gets so excited when mommy or grandma pull out their cameras.
**He loves remotes but he wants the real ones not the ones that we let him play with (How does he know? the little stinker)
**Dux likes to sit in the cart at the grocery store without his car seat. He is so big. We only do this sometimes though because sometimes he is so sleepy it is better to keep him in the car seat. A couple weeks ago I just had him in the seat and he was getting so tired he almost fell asleep sitting up. Poor guy. He was all slumped over and pitiful looking.

**Maddux has the most beautiful face in fact there was a cute lady at Walmart last week that told me he was almost too pretty to be a boy haha. He does have a very pretty face and if I dressed him in a dress he might even be mistaken for a girl plus look at those beautiful eyes and eyelashes...he actually gets those from his daddy.
**Maddux is starting to learn what no no means and it is so cute to see his little reaction to that phrase. But he is starting to realize that he should stop when he hears it. Good boy!
**He has started to wave bye bye but he does it with his whole arm not just his hand and he is still learning so he will only do it sometimes. But it is fun for me to watch him learn these new things.

**I caught some pretty funny faces of Maddux. The first one is him in the middle of a cough...the poor little guy has had a bad flemmy cough for like a month now. The middle one is his big surprised eyes and the last one is him after his cough medicine no haha j/k but doesn't he look drugged there haha. I think he was in the middle of baby babbling to me.
**He likes lemons. No seriously he does. He will bit and suck on it and make a really funny face but then he grabs for more. He kept doing this with hilarious faces on my mom's birthday at the restaurant last week and the guys sitting next to our table were just cracking up over it. It was so cute and funny.
**Peas are his favorite veggie and apple sauce is his favorite fruit

**This month he has started baby babbling a lot more...he says "BABABABABA" all cute like. I love it!
**He loves necklaces because I have one that I love that is long with a really heavy duty chain that I let him play with all the time but then he thinks he can play with everyone else's like his grandmas so that's not good I guess I shouldn't let him play with mine so he learns not to. But it keeps him busy in church haha

Check out my exercise blog here
**Dux loves buttons anything with a button on it catches his eye and he loves the pull at it with his little fingers luckily he can't break them off yet.

**He has been a little more clingy lately and like to be held a lot more. Which is ok with me....I love it actually.
He loves his binkie and it is constantly hooked to him now. I bought him one of those things that you hook to the binkie and then to their shirt and it is so nice because then when it falls out it stays close and you don't loose it but it is also bad because I am nervous he is getting a little too hooked to it. We will see he is still young right?!

**He has become such a fast little crawler.
**He has started to flap his arms and slap the ground when he is excited and it is so fun to watch.

**He loves his aunts and uncles and all his grandma and grandpas so much. He gets so spoiled by them :)

We love this little dude with all of our hearts and can't even remember life without him. He is such a blessing in our home and just makes me want to be a better person to be worthy enough to call myself his mommy. We love you baby and love to watch you learn and grow...keep flashing us that beautiful smile and melting our hearts.
Love, mommy and daddy
