My 2010 favorite things

320 Sycamore is having a fun "favorite things" link party! And it got me thinking of my favorite things of 2010.
I have a list of my top 25 favorites. 25 you ask? Yes 25, I couldn't narrow it down any more if I tried.

so here they are in no particular order...
1. Skinny Jeans
I LOVE skinny Jean they are my favorite pants to wear. They are comfy and cute. You can wear them with flats. heels or boots. They are perfect for every season. You can dress them up or dress them down. I have two pair (they are both dark I need some light ones) and I wear them all the time (just ask my husband) and I just might need to get some more.

 2. Ugg Boots
These are my favorite boots to wear in the fall and winter. I think I wear them everyday during those two seasons especially if it is raining or snowing. I HATE when the bottom of my pants get wet so these are the perfect solution to wear out and they keep my feet warm and oh so comfy. Can you tell I have a comfortable theme going on here. Again I were these with everything...jeans, sweat pants, even a few of my skirts. (I have the airwalks brand because they are cheaper but just as good and cute)

3. The Biggest Loser
This is one of mine and Ty's favorite shows. It is inspiring, motivating, and entertaining. We get so into it every year and I connect with the contestants and hate to see most of them go throughout the season. Can I just say that I am soooo excited for make over week! These people just make me want to do better. I want to meet Bob one day so bad.
4. Snuggie Blanket
I know this thing is a little silly...but ever since I got one for my birthday last year I just love it, especially in the winter time. It is perfect to snuggle up with while watching TV. Everyone needs one of these. I got one for Ty for Christmas so we could enjoy them together. Awwww. I even have the pink one for breast cancer awareness.

5. My faith
I love my faith and am so thankful and proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the salt lake temple and it is where me and my cute hubby got married and sealed 3 years ago.
(doesn't it just look like a beautiful princess castle)

6. Italian Village Pizza Benders
Ok these are so addictive and have got to be my favorite food for this year. If you live in or near Murray Utah you have got to try this place. It is this cute little restaurant and everything I have tried there is delicious but my favorite is the salad with their delicious ranch dressing and a pineapple and pepperoni pizza bender. So cheesy...sooo yummy.

7. Twilight
I love anything twilight. They were the most addictive books I have ever read and got me to love reading again. I now, because of these books, own a library card again and am reading all sorts of books all the time. I also like the movies and will own them all.

8. My black pumps
My cute Ty bought me these beauties for my birthday this year and I just love them. They go with everything. They dress up every outfit and I feel pretty when I wear them. I believe they are a fashion staple and everyone needs some plain black pumps.

9. My Nikon Coolpix L110
We got this camera this year because, yes it is true, I some how washed and DRIED our old camera :( The only good thing that came out of that was this lovely camera and I just love how good the pictures look.

10. Mod Podge
I love this stuff. I feel like anyone that likes to decorate or make crafts needs this. You can do so many different projects with it to sprus up your home. Me and my mom just did a big project for Maddux's room with this lovely ingredient and I can't wait to post pictures of it when it is completed and up on the wall.

11. Lucky Body Spray
Oh my heavens I love this smell. It is and always will be my perfume of choice and no one can convince me other wise. haha. No but really spraying just a little of this on me every morning or before I go out on a date with the hubby make me feel fresh. Who doesn't like to smell good anyway?!

12. Vaseline Lotion
This item is probably the thing I used the MOST, multiple times a day, than anything else on the list. I love lotion and am a bit obsessed. Every time I wash my hands I have to put lotion on and I love how moisturizing this kind is. I have tried so many kinds of lotion and always seem to come back to this. It has got to have the pump too and it sits right on my side of the bathroom counter.

13. 5k Jogging Stroller
I love this stroller and I even got it used on KSL classifieds so it was so much cheaper than buying a new one. I am still able to go on my jogs even when the hubby is at school and I have baby Maddux. He is so good on our runs.

14. Insanity DVD Workout Program
We just started this the end of this year and I don't think I have ever had such a hard workout. I am not much of a sweater but I drip after each workout with this program. There is a schedule that is set up for you to follow so that you know what workout to do on each day and there is even a recovery day every week. My favorite thing about this program is that you don't need weights it is all just using your body weight. The other fabulous thing about my copy is that I bought them still in the package brand new on KSL classifieds and got it for $70 dollars off the original price. Can you say steal?! This is perfect for getting back into shape along with running after having a baby. It kicks my butt.

15. Loreal Bare Naturale Mineral foundation
This is the only foundation that I will use on my face now and for the rest of my life. It is so light weight I don't even feel like I am wearing any makeup and it covers so nicely. I also like that it is a powder and that there are so many tones to choose from. It also has sunscreen in it how can you go wrong with that?! I wont leave the house without this on.

16. Maddux's Bumbo Seat
This is thee coolest seat for babies and I think every mom needs one for their little ones. The babies love them and it teaches them how to sit up before they can on their own. Maddux loved to sit in his and still does to this day. You can also get a tray for it. This seat is a life savor for me when I am cooking and he wants to be up by me I can sit him in this on the floor by me and he is happy. They have these seats in so many different colors.

17. Bath and Body Works Foam Soaps
My cute husband has got me addicted to these this last year. I used to just get the regular soaps which are good too but then Ty asked me why I didn't get the foam kind and told me how much he likes it so next time I was out I got it and fell in love. And don't we agree that bath and body works have the BEST smells. Also these lotions and soaps are so good for friend gifts. I like to have a few on hand for gifts just in case.

18. Missy Higgins
I LOVE Missy Higgins and I could seriously listen to her all day long. My cute Ty got me this CD for my birthday and I think he wishes he hadn't because every time we are in the car I pop this bad boy in. I never get sick of it but I think Ty wants some more manly music to listen to every now and then.

19. Cricket Machine
Well my mom's Cricket machine is one of my favorite things. I don't have one yet but my cute mom lets me use hers anytime I want and even taught me how to use it last time I wanted some Vinyl. It is perfect for vinyl lettering, scrapbooking, cards and other home crafts. Thank you mom for letting me use this until I get my own one day. (hint...hint...Ty) haha ok maybe when you are done with law school.

20. Equate Facial Cleansing Wipes
I use these every night to take off my makeup before I go to bed and it is so perfect. It gets it all off so nicely and leaves my skin feeling oh so soft. I used to use the name brand kind but this works just as good and I get twice as much for half the price.

 21. Slurpee
This is another one of my favorite things that my husband really got me addicted to this year. I have always liked slurpees but until we move back up to Salt Lake we didn't have a 711 near us but now that there is one just down the street you better believe that we get this treat constantly. The Rootbeer was my favorite but it was only a summer thing. Now it is Cherry Coke or Pina Colata
 22. Redbox
Oh yeah Redbox baby I love this thing. In fact I really wish I would have invented it. $1 movies how can you not like that? Ok so most of the time they are one dollar unless you are like me and the hubby and don't return them for two or three days. oops. I love how you can reserve it from your home computer and then just go pick it up watch it and return it the next day. So worth a dollar. We love movies!

23. 409 and Clorox wipes
I am combining these two because I couldn't pick a favorite between them when it come to cleaning. I use these two items daily. They are life savers and I love the clean aroma they leave behind.

 24. Frizz Ease Hairspray
This is another favorite that I have always loved, tried other hairsprays but always come right back to this one. I love that purple lid. No but really this hairspray does wonders for my hair. I am a firm believer in it depends on your hair type for which hairspray is best for you but this one is THEEE BEST for my hair. Ask hubby he tries to get me to try cheaper kind but I wont back down. :)

25.My Family
They are my favoritest of all my favorites! My boys are my world like I have said before and they are by far my most favorite things :) How did I get so lucky?

What are your favorite things?

These two boys....

...are my WORLD! Every morning I get to wake up and see little "M"s face and as soon as my man comes home from school everything just seems to be perfect. I just want everyone, especially these two, to know how thankful I really am for them and how happy and complete they make my life. I think about how thankful I am every single day that I am able to stay home and be a mommy to Maddux that I get to watch him grow, kiss him as much as I want throughout the day, and play with him. His little laugh is music to my ears and I take a picture in my mind every time he flashes me his  huge smile. Just seeing him and holding him cheers me up when I am having one of those days (you know what I mean). When he looks up at me with those big blue eyes everything else just seems to go away and he is all I see. I am so thankful for my husband. I am so thankful for his love, for his smile, for his heart, for his hard work, for his good attitude about everything, for his amazing hugs and for his kisses. He makes me laugh everyday even when I don't want to or don't feel like it and once I do I feel so much better. My man is the best and will do anything to make me happy he is so sweet and I feel so lucky to be married to him and be with him for eternity. Just simply being at home curling up on the couch together and watching one of our favorite shows makes me feel so happy and lucky to have the life that I do. I love my boys so much.

Halloween 2010

There are three new posts that I did today. this one, Maddux six months post, and our October happenings. They are just in a row one right under the other...so make sure to check all three of them out.

Party- Friday October 29th
On the Friday before Halloween my family had a party so we got all dressed up brought some food and visited, played games, watched a movie and ate. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone in their costumes.
We were so excited for Maddux's first Halloween and we decided to have a theme and all dress up the same. We were all doctors and Maddux was our little surgeon. We love the show scrubs and have been watching the seasons on DVD lately so we thought this would be a perfect theme for us. I couldn't believe I found a little doctor outfit for Maddux.  It was meant to be and Dux looked so adorable.

We played pumpkin bowling for one of the games at the party. The kids really liked this game. The pumpkin was the bowling ball and rolls of toilet paper that had faces on them (ghosts) were the pins. this is Zach getting a strike. I even tried it out myself. I got a spare.

Another game we played was a contest to see who could wrap their partner the fastest like a mummy with one roll of toilet paper. Mom and Emilee took first, Me and Ammon took second, and Ty and Zach took third. It was harder than it looks to do it fast because if you weren't careful the paper would rip easily.

Ty and Zach

Finished mummies. Ammon, Zach and Emilee.

After we played the game there was still some extra toilet paper so Ammon and Zach decided they would do each other. Zach did a really good job on Ammon.

Here is Zach as a mummy the second time. He was cracking us up when he would stick is tongue out of the paper.

My little sisters....Pebbles (Amanda) and the Devil (Emilee)

My cute mom and dad...70s girl and Jamaican
Hubby decided to put Emilee's tutu on his head. He kinda looked like a chief haha

Me and my little mister! I can't get over how cute he looked. I will probably just put this costume on him on random days just so I can see him in it again while it still fits. I know I am a little crazy. Don't you just love the little surgeon hat?!

After everyone left but my family from the party and the little boys went to bed, my mom and dad, the hubby, my little sisters and me decided we wanted to watch a scary movie. We watched Step Father on Netflix. I like it and thought it was pretty scary but I am a wuss and get scared really easily.  Ty didn't think it was very scary but he liked it. At about midnight we headed back home.

Halloween- Saturday October 30th
Well it was at least when we celebrated Halloween. It fell on a Sunday this year so we went trick or treating on Saturday. We headed back up to my parents house earlier in the day. when we got there the boys hung out at the house and me and my sisters went shopping (I got some cute clothes with my birthday money). When we got back it was time to get the little man in his costume again and me and the hubby dressed up again too. We took Maddux trick or treating with my little brothers. My dad and Ty came along and just walked around the neighborhood with us talking about boy stuff while me and the kids went up to the doors. Maddux got some yummy treats for mommy and daddy since he can't have them yet. But I had to take him trick or treating on his first Halloween plus all my parents neighbors loved seeing him and he got so many complements. His trick or treat bag was the little doctor bag that came with his costume.

Surgeon (Dux), Ninja (Zach), Ninja (Ammon)

Trick or treating started out pretty wet so we brought along the umbrellas but shortly after we started it stopped. I think Maddux was so confused of what we were doing but after a few houses he started smiling at everyone that opened the doors.

Maddux's (Well mommy and daddy's) loot in his little doctor bag)

The boys after trick or treating. My brothers of course dumped out all of their candy and sorted them and Maddux just wanted it all haha.

What a little sweetie! He was such a sport during trick or treating. Thank you for the candy bubbas.

After the trick or treating was done we all watched Young Frankenstein and drank hot chocolate and had a little candy of course. Thank you mom and dad for all of the fun.

Two more new posts to read...read on :)

This little Mister just turned 6 months old on October 28th. Can you believe it? No! I can't! He does just keep getting cuter and more fun if that is even possible. I am still loving being this little mans mommy and I will forever. I love to stay at home. Our day consists of eating, changing diapers, swinging, playing outside, taking a bath, reading books, playing inside, tickling, sleeping, going on walks and me just staring that this cutie while we explores and wonders around. Life could not be sweeter.

We went to his six month Dr. check up on November first and he is a healthy little monkey indeed. Here are his stats.

The Dr. Says he is doing great and his appointment went wonderfully. He was only sad for like 30 seconds when he got his shots, but he was pretty tough and he loved the oral medicine they gave him. He does have a little cyst above his right eye but the doctor said it is nothing to worry about and that it will probably go away on its own but he will check it again on his next visit. Rice Cereal-November 1st
This is Dux's first reaction to his first bite of rice cereal. He doesn't look too sure but he warmed up to it a bit and seemed to like it a little more as he had more and more.

Daddy feeding him. He actually did pretty good for his first time and we took a million pictures and videos because his faces were soo funny

mmmm....there we go he is liking it a little more. We had to let him play with one of his other spoons to distract him from trying to grab his bowl or spoon we were feeding him with.

This one is of him on his third day of rice cereal today at lunch time. He is so messy but it getting a little more used to it kinda. He can't make up him mind. Yesterday at lunch it gagged him and he spit up everywhere. Today he didn't gag so that is a good sign he even smiled a few times after some bites. This is the picture we sent to daddy while he was at school today.

One more new post underneath this one on our October happenings
