RacQuEtBaLl - BuNkO - cOrBiN aLlReD

This is kinda a this and that type of a post, but hey that is exactly what has been going on in our lives: just a little of ThIs and a little of tHaT.

RaCqUeTbAlL!
Ty and I took a class together last semester called fundamentals of individual and dual sports. I had to take this class for my major (I am a Pe MaJoR if you didn't know). Ty took it with me just for a hEcK oF iT because he thought it would be fun. The class consisted of golf, tennis, badminton and racquetball. We just got to learn about the sports, play them and get tested on the skills we learned. Well the racquetball unit was not my favorite to say the least. I didn't like it, I was bad at it and I was afraid of the ball it just bounced all over the place and I was constantly getting hit. haha. Well I actually did grow to lOvE it! Ty and I got each other racquetball equipment for Christmas and didn't even plan to get it for each other. Ever since Christmas we try to play together every Tuesday and Thursday or at least one of the days each week. We have so much fun and I have improved so much I am actually getting kInDa good at it now. Sometimes I even WIN! Sometimes our friend Runge plays with us too. So we can play iron man that is when three people play at once.

Playing a game after in between Ty's classes. It is a good break for him and me too ;)
We really have so much fun

Ty is just about to serve I caught him in a good moment. He was in the ZoNe

I am just about to do some practice hits. See how concentrated I get haha

Thank you my cute husband for helping me learn this new to me sport and for having so much fun with me. It is a fun way to do a little change in our exercising routine and to do something active together. Thank you for playing with me! I hope we carry this on for a long time

bUnKo!

A couple Weeks ago my cute friend Natalie asked me if I wanted to sub in one of her Bunko groups that she was hosting at her house. I was so super excited. I have been wanting to play for so long and have been asked to sub before but never could so of course I said yEs this time and made sure to ask for work off that day. I have heard only good things about bunko and bunko groups and what a good time everyone has at them.

On Tuesday March 24th the day finally arrived. I felt like such a dOrK though because I was way too overly excited about it. It was over at Natalie's house and I actually knew a lot of people in the group that I didn't know were in it. Everyone was very welcoming of me and made me feel included in all of it. I have to say I was slightly intimidated at first to play because I have heard from many that people take this very very seriously and you have to roll FaSt or else haha. No, but it was really fun. We had dinner (Yummy Chicken, yummy cheese cake stuff haha, and a green salad) first which by the way Nat was delicious and thank you for the left overs ;). I need the ReCiPeS. After dinner they were all so kind to teach me how to play. Well my mom explained it to me a few weeks before but I couldn't remember so they refreshed my memory. It was so much fun. All of it. I loved the fast pace, the food and the best part was ChAtTiNg with everyone. Thank you Nat for inviting me and thank you Runge for coming and being a last minute sub. I will do it again anytime if subs are needed :)

CoRbIn AlLrEd!

Yes, That is me and Mr. Corbin Allred. What a freakin nice Guy. If you don't know who he is he is an actor is such movies as: Saints and Soldiers, Take a Chance with kirby, and he is the kid in Robin Hood Men in Tights. Ok so the sToRy. Well my friend Jenise did a battle of the bands type thing to raise money for a girl with Cystic Fibrosis in the community. Cool huh. There was music, other entertainment, raffles, and food all of it going to this cause. So Ty and I went to be volunteers and help with selling the PiZzA. I was so excited the whole time and looking forward to one particular person that would be there. Yes, ladies and gentlemen he is not only an actor he sInGs too. I know I am a dork. But I get so so sTaR sTrUcK it's not even funny. I have seen Corbin around town and I get all flustered everytime. Ty thinks it is so funny. But I honestly am just at aw.

So back to the story. When it was his turn to sing I was excited because I heard he was good but I had never heard him. He was SO GOOD! He was just so easy to listen to and he played the gUiTaR and everything. He sang some really cute songs and one was the one he sang to his wife on their wedding day. Sweet. Afterward my Friend Jenise went to thank him for coming and she put in a good word and said I wanted to meet him. I got a picture with him and he gave me a big hug and after he just stood there for like fifteen minutes and talked to me and Ty. He is such a NiCe guy. We talked about his singing, acting, his family and school and how he ended up in Cedar. It was so fun. I totally want a CD of him. I was just very impressed of how sweet he was and that Ty and him acted like they could talk for hours. Well now I want to go watch SaInTs aNd SoLdIeRs.

Spring Break 2009

This year for the first part of spring break we headed up North to spend some time with our families. We like to take any opportunity we can to go up there. We both had to work Friday night and Ty had to work until about 1 am so we decided to leave the next day. First we ran over to the Redd's garage sale and got some cute sayings on some signs to put in the house and a few other things then we finished packing and we off starting our four hour drive to Syracuse. We got to my families house at about 2:30ish in the afternoon.

When first got there some family friends, Robert and Jenine, were over to drop off a card for my dad's birthday and they drove over Chase's new car to show it off. It was so sweet. Earlier on our drive up Ty and I were talking about cars and Ty was telling me about the Dodge Challenger. I didn't know what it was so he told me he would show me a picture online or something. Well he didn't have to because there was one sitting in my parents drive way when we got there that Rob and Jenine drove over. It was really sweet. Now I really want one I think it would be fun to have. I would look so good in that car. haha.

After Rob and Jenine left we went to dinner with my parents on their regular Saturday date night. We of course went to chillies of course because it is my dad's favorite place to eat and because we get 50% off there, my dad loved that haha. It was so much fun to just hang out my parents and Ty and I we just talked forever even after we were done eating we stayed a while to hang out. The rest of the night we just hung out and watched Get Smart.

Sunday was just so relaxed and fun. I hung out in Young Womens because my mom is in the presidency and I didn't want to got o relief society by myself. My mom is over the beehives so it was fun to hear their funny comments and stories throughout the lesson. I was in beehives nine years ago. That is so crazy it had been that long I am getting OLD! I remember beehives like it was just yesterday though I always had really good leaders and had such a good experience throught young womens. One Day I really hope to serve in the young womens program. I think it would be so fun and I remember thinking the young leaders were so cool! I wan to be that cool leader :) Anyway the rest of Sunday we napped and hung out as a fam doing all sorts of stuff. Poor Ty though was not feeling good he started feeling sick after church but after our nap felt better. So after the nap we had promised Ammon we would play army with him and build a army fort out of legos. It was fun to play with him and this is what we came up with.
This is the fort for the green (good) guys. Builders Ty, Whitney, Emilee and Ammon

Ammon gives it two thumbs up :)

Zach had a fort also. Ammon said these were the brown (bad) guys. Zach is ready to fight.
BRING IT ON!

After building and playing for a little bit we had dinner. After dinner Ty was feeling sick again so he rested some more on the couch while we all watched our Jacobs Sunday shows: Amazing Race, Cold Case, Extreme Makeover home addition and my parents love the Unit now so we watched that too. Poor Ty was in and out of sleep the whole time. I felt so bad for him he had a fever and it broke and then he had another one later and his poor tummy hurt him. It is so sad when this big strong guy gets sick because they change so much they aren't that strong guy anymore they are weak and so sad.

Also a chink of Sunday my dad was trying to fix lilly (my laptop) he tried at home and then ran to work for a while and tried some stuff but poor lilly is ill and needs a new hard drive. That you dad for trying and for putting so much time into it. I love you.

We stayed one my day at my parents, Monday. The day started out with me going with my mom to Lady Fitness to work out with her. I was so happy to work out at least monday with her it was really fun. She kinda had to sneak me in because she was pretty sure she could bring a guest without a membership but not completely sure and she didn't want them to say no and then me not be able to come so I just went in with her and the didn't ask any questions so we figured we were good to go. My mom kicks my butt She is a good exerciser I wish I could work out with her everyday. After working out, getting ready for the day and picking up Ty; Mom, me Ty and Ammon went to the mall to see if Precision Mountain Wear was still having their sale on snowbaording stuff. Well they weren't so that was sad but since we came to the mall we decided to go to some more stores. Can I just say I love bath and body works I wish we had one in Cedar. We of course got some treats beore we left at the food court (you have to right?!). The rest of the day we just hung out. Also Chris and Em and Parker came over and hung out with us for a little bit and watched Dancing with the Stars with us. After the kids went to bed at about 9:30pm we headed up to Murray to Ty's parents house.

When we got to Murray Mike and Jess were also over at the Ulrich's. They came up to hang out for a little bit on their way up to Logan and Idaho for Mikes work. On Tuesday Dad Ulrich had his back surgery. After waking up and getting ready for the day we were off to St. Marks hospital to keep Mom U. some company while Dave was in Surgery. St. Marks is also where Ayla (our niece) was at so we got to see her through a window and she was just so so adorable it was good to see her even though it was just through a window. After that we went across the street to the Marie Calenders for some lunch an it was delicious. I love their pie. Then we waited at the hospital for a while they then came and told us he was out of surgery and they were going to make sure everything is good and then in about an hour he would be in his room. Well during that hour that we would have to wait we took that opprotunity to go hold some cute twins that lived by Ty's grandparents. Grandma Kjar hasn't stopped talking about these twins and I just had to see them. They were so adorable. Their names were Dani and Jaci. I held Jani and Ty held Dani they were so tiny and had so much hair. Their mom was really cute and nice for letting us hold her little babies. I have a huge thing for twins I don't know what it is but I LOVE them. My biggest dream come true would be to have twins I want them so bad and talk about it all the time I even have twin names haha. But because I want them I propbably won't get them thats how it works I guess. I just always hope I will because they are in my family. My grandpa is a twin, Gale and Dale. :)

After holding the babies for a while we were back to the hospital and hung out with Dave for a while in his recovery room. It felt so good to be there with him after his surgery. It meant so much to Ty to be there and I'm sure it meant a lot to Dave too. Then we were off to Dinner with Ty's cousin Adam and his wife Leslie. We went to the Gateway and had CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) It was really good I'm sure we will go back there again. Then we went to cold stone for dessert and then went back to Adam and Leslie's place to talk and catch up for a little bit. It was fun to see them again. Thanks for the fun date Adam and Leslie hope to see you guys again soon. Come visit us in Cedar k?! When we got back Julie Ty and I went over to Ty's Aunt DeAnne's house to bring her the watches I made her. She said she loved them and even bought another one I was so happy she really liked them I was hoping she would I love making them.

On Wednesday when we were all up and ready Ty, Julie and I headed back to the hospital Ty went up to Dave's room and Julie and I went to the NICU. Yeah I got permission from my sister in law to go in and see Ayla. I got to go into the NICU and hold her. She was cute through the window but she was even cuter right there seeing her face to face and holding her in my arms. I got to burp her and that was really a special thing for me. She really is a little miracle baby and I was so happy to be with her for a little while. Here are some pictures Julie took of me holding her.

I love this one because she was snuggling with me. I love being the Aunt Whitty is really is so much fun.

Thank you Stace for letting me hold this little doll. This didn't make me more baby crazy at all (haha that was sarcasm if you couldn't tell)

After holding little Ayla is was time to bring Dave home. I can't believe that after having a big surgery like back surgery he was able to come home 24 hours after. He was doing good though he was able to walk he was even able to go up and down the stair very slowly but still what a good recovery. He will be recovering 3-4 weeks and will hopefully be as good as new. After dropping the boys off Julie and I ran some errands together. It was a lot of fun just the two of us. Thanks for inviting me to come along. Then when we got home Julie taught me how to make homemade egg noodles because she was making chicken noodle soup for dinner that night and TY loves it. I am excited to make this for him now that I can make my own noodles. Thank you Mom U. for teaching me. Oh and mashed potatoes at the bottom of the bowl of chicken noodle soup is to die for. Ty and his brother would always talk about it but it sounded weird to me well I was finally able to try it for myself and it was delicious. After dinner it was watch making time for Julie. I made her two watches and they turned out really cute I'll have to get a picture of them later. The rest of the night we enjoyed some milk shakes and watched some Life together.

Thursday morning we had to drive back to Cedar for work. Thank you mom and dad Jacobs and mom and dad Ulrich for such a fun time. We love you all and can't wait to see you again. The rest of thursday was just work and unpacking. Friday was again work and then of course we went to a midnight movie to have a date just the two of us. We saw Knowing it was really good just a weird ending. It was also a lot more intense and scary then I thought it would be. oh and thank you Natalie for getting me a Twilight DVD since I went to the movies instead of standing in line. You are the best. Saturday was again work, grocery shopping, a walk and went to chillies for dinner.

Today we found out that our little Niece Ayla was able to come home! We are so happy for Chris and staci after having her in the hospital for so long. Our prayers are with you guys and we are so excited for you to have your family together at last. Tonight is the regular Amazing Race get together at Chris and Ems and then make to school tomorrow. Wish us luck these last five weeks I'll need it. :) Thank you baby for a fun spring break and I'm so happy you are feeling batter.

So Proud

I am like such a proud mama right now! I have to take this time to brag about my cute husband. Last week he got his results from the LSAT (the test to get into law school this fall) he took the beginning of February.
Yes, that is right everyone he got a 162! That is in the 86th percentile. If you don't know about the LSAT scoring a 162 is GOOD! It is out of 180. Yay Baby! He has had so many schools emailing him wanting him to apply to their school and because of his score is getting fee wavers so he is able to apply to all these schools throughout the U.S. for free. Sweet huh?! He is so smart I am excited to see what schools he gets accepted to with his 3.9 GPA and 162 LSAT. Sorry I just can't say that score enough I am so happy for him. Doesn't he look so hunkish in this picture. I think so ;) He is so embarrassed that I made him take this picture with the sign I made haha. Thank you for being such a good sport.

This is me being the proud wife that I so am.
I wrote up this sign and I think it is totally
refrigerator worthy.
And this is me being surprised of the news and excited!

...And this is Ty being silly. He is so relieved and seems much more relaxed after finding out his score. He is so excited but shows it by being silly. He thinks I am crazy for posting this and I think he is a little embarrassed but he said I could because it means so much to me. What a cute hubby huh?! I love you baby GREAT JOB! I can't wait to see what those numbers bring to us.

Now we just can't wait to see who has accepted him so we can decided where we will be living and going to school this fall. AAAAAAAAAAh so exciting. We will keep you all posted on where we end up going....

The most intense Bachelor...

Although last night was putting us all through a roller coaster of 3 hours of drama I was absolutely thrilled of how it all turned out. Everyone knew he was making a mistake when he picked Melissa. He even said himself in a previous episode that Melissa reminded him of his ex wife and DeAnna. What? Hello was he listening to himself. He really wanted to get into a relationship with someone that reminded him of his ex and Deanna the people that he fell in love with and hurt him the most? Duh Jason. Smart one. Anyway there is something else Melissa was really fake the whole time. She would act so different around Jason where as the other three of the top four were genuine and honest. Jason Learned. He learned when it was just them together that Melissa wasn't really the person that he had fallen in love with. That will happen if you are being fake to win. I wasn't much of a fan from the very beginning (if you couldn't tel hahal).

I absolutely love Molly I think she is such a doll and just seems so honest and real. She was a goof but so sincere. I was so sad watching it when he picked melissa. Then when the next hour came on I couldn't believe it. It was so much drama. I just believe Jason was really following his heart. While Melissa just embarrassed herself on national TV. She had a right to be upset but the way she acted and some of the things she said were embarrassing and then in the interview in the car she went right back to her fake pageant answers.
When he picked Molly her first concern was Melissa. She asked what about Melissa. She really is a genuine and sweet person. I think they are adorable together and she was so cute with little Ty and I can't wait to hear about up dates. Thanks for letting me vent I'm just way way way too into this show when I watch it. Also tonight's one last hour was so cute with those two love birds with all smiles and flirtiness.

For my sweethearts birthday we spent the day in St. George. We went to the parade of homes to celebrate and we both had a blast looking at a lot of the beautiful homes. It was so cool to be like oh when we grow up we want that in our house or we would pretend we were going to buy the house (silly). We took over 200 pictures of the houses and all the cute decorating ideas that we were in love with. But I am not however going to show all of those pictures because it would be way too many. We loved so many of the houses, with all the theaters, painted walls (I love painted walls), romantic master bedrooms, beautiful kitchens and adorable decorations. I can't wait to go again.

Our favorite house was #19 it was AMAZING! it had a main level, basement and up stairs but it was huge (15,000 square feet). The main level consisted of a master bedroom, big open kitchen, and living room area, a beautiful dining room, a study, a laundry room and mud room , also on the main level in a separate area there was a guest area with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. The up stairs had 6 bedrooms (one in particular that was my favorite was the gymnastics room of course you know why. It was so cool I would have loved it when I was younger. The girl even had her own balance beam in her room I still want my own beam in my room) , 3 bathrooms, a craft room, a great room with a pool table and such, a harry potter kids area (it was so sweet), a homework area, a little kitchen area, another laundry room with two washers and two dryers, and a theater. In the basement there was a upper exercise area with all the cardio equipment, a lower exercise area with the weights, a full racquetball court, a half basketball court, a little kitchen area, a rock climbing wall, and a golf putting area. There was also a two car garage another two car garage and a RV garage. And last but not least there was a hugo pool! It was beautiful.

This is Ty in the house we loved. This is the Kitchen. I loved the brick wall in the kitchen and will have it one day. Isn't he a handsome birthday boy.

This is the amazing pool that also had a cave with a TV area and a hot tub area it was super romantic.

After the last home we went over to the mall and walked around for a bit and then we were off to one of our new favorite places to eat Texas Road House. It was such a fun dinner we love the rolls. Throughout the day Ty got one present at a time and he seemed like he loved them all. We then drove back to Cedar and had some delicious cake and his favorite ice cream (loaded chocolate chip cookie dough).

Ty's birthday presents.

We love to celebrate with sparkling Cider! And what a day to Celebrate.

I just love my baby's dimples. They melt my heart

I love you sweetheart I hope you had the best birthday you have had so far. You are my world and my everything I love celebrating you and our love. Thank you for being such an amazingly cute hisband and for everything you do for me each day. Thank you for the back rubs, foot rubs, kisses and hugs.

Be my Valentine

So I am finally getting around to writing about our Valentines Day! It was our second Valentines day together. There is just something about this day that I just love. I am a mushy person and do not think it is over rated at all. I love to celebrate the love Ty and I have for each other every chance I get. I know that isn't just on Valentines but it is just another fun day that you get to spend together and do nice things for each other. I love this holiday and always will. We were up North this year for Valentines because we needed a break and to go up also for Ty's Birthday which was the same week.

Ty surprised me with the most wonderful present he could have given me. He took me ice skating. We have talked about going ice skating together forever and neither of us had been for years. It was so much fun after I got over the fear and got the right size skates. We skated until we got kicked off it was so fun to share this moment together, to hold hands, talk and just skate. We decided when our time was up we had so much fun that we wanted to go again the next time we are up north. There isn't any places to go ice skating near cedar city so we can;'t go until we are up there again. Thank you for my surprise it was so romantical.

This is us at the Olympic Oval! We were kissing and taking a pictures while still moving on the ice. It was interesting and very talented may I add. Turned out cute because we love love love each other.

This is my man showing off his skills. He ice skated in hockey skates because he thinks figure skates are for girls. haha. Good job baby you did awesome.

Throughout the day we gave each other our presents. We gave each other our cards in the morning when we woke up. During the day we gave each other one of our presents. I gave Ty the new Dierks Bentley CD and he gave me some beautiful flowers with lillies, Daisies and Gurber Daisies There were so beautiful and I love flowers on valentines. After Ice Skating we went out to dinner with Ty's parents to Pei Wei. It was such good food. That was our first time there and we loved it we are grateful Mom and Dad introduced us to this great Chinese food. Their lettuce wraps were to die for and everything else was amazing as well.

After some good food we exchanged our last presents for each other. I made Ty this really cool (well I thought it was really cool) canister with some love notes inside. It was a canister that I had decorated with valentine scrapbook paper and mod podge. On the inside it had 20 chip board squares that I also mod podged with scrapbook paper and made all cute. Each square had either a note on it saying the different things I love about him on it or it had different candies that he loves attached to them. I told Ty that this wasn't just for Valentines day but anytime that he needs a little pick me up to read them and he will know how much I love him and am grateful for him. I put a lot of work into it and he seemed to really like it.

Ty of course surprised me with ice skating and he gave me this cute teddy bear with chocolates and some adorable earrings that I absolutely LOVE! It is like a tradition for Ty to give me a stuffed animal for Valentines day. I love them. I just think it is so sweet. Thank you baby.
